He's alot better than weid for instance. Had near 50 shots on goal 2 years in a row and is just 21. He's easily a mid to late first rounder.

Georgiades' last two seasons he played regularly
2022 - 1.2 goals per game
2021 - 1.5 goals per game

Weid's last two
2023 - 1.8 goals per game
2022 - 1.3 goals per game

Not going to argue Georgiades isn't better, but it's not a ridiculously massive gap between the two in current value and CERTAINLY not a big enough gap to justify a "mid to late first rounder" which is laughable. He's currently (not inc. injury) on the border between AFL and SANFL, was subbed off 3 times last year and played SANFL a handful of times, this year before injury he played SANFL more often than AFL.

Weid was traded out for the equivalent of pick 53. There's no way the difference between him and Georgiades is the difference between pick 53 and say pick 12 (which is what "mid to late" first rounder is approx.)

You can both be right kids although not sure why would bring Weid in to the conversation. Georgiades is worth a 1st rounder on potential and his output in 2021 but may be gettable for a second rounder

Definitely has potential, but there's no chance you give up pick 12(ish) for a bloke out of form and coming off an ACL.

Personally, I think there's next to no chance Georgiades would be gettable for a second-rounder. Teams just don't give away 21-year-old KPFs who can mark the ball like he does for nothing, even coming off an injury.

The Weid comparison isn't all that relevant IMO. Georgiades has been in the system for three and a half years and has shown plenty, whereas Weid had been in the system for eight years and couldn't nail down a spot. (Weid kicked 16 goals in his first three years, Georgiades kicked 63).

I probably wouldn't want to give up a pick around 10-12 for him coming off an injury, but if he leaves, I wouldn't be surprised if someone does.

Why are you and old mate picking a stupid number like 10 like we'd have access to that. It'd be the pick we have which is 15-18. If we had a 21 year old key forward who'd already had a 32 goal AFL season you nuffs would want 7 first rounders.

If we got him for 33-36 that would be one of the biggest trade wins in history that's what we got for a drug cooked Watts.

Because everyone ends up in that exact situation... No one trades future picks, does pick swaps, trades players, maybe even has another team's pick in their possession already? Might have to look into that last one especially, it sounds like a good idea, gonna email Lamby now.

Would love Georgiades. I wanted him at the draft. Not sure what his worth is but I doubt we're a chance anyway. WA boy and you'd have to pay overs to probably shake him loose, even after an acl. Not sure our first would be enough and our Freo pick feels too high. Would love him on the list though

I used 10 as it was a mid first as you said.

His value would be somewhere around 16-22 imo

16-22 feels about right to me. Wasn't setting the world on fire before his injury but he's young and has shown more than glimpses of becoming a very dangerous forward. Could end up being bog average, but he's worth a late first to have a punt on i reckon.

I would trade Petty and Sparrow to Port for Butters and Bergman if they throw in Georgiades as a sweetener.

I also think that [PLAYERCARD]Sam Taylor[/PLAYERCARD] could be gettable from GWS and would consider parting ways with our 2nd rounder, Jordon and Harmes for him.

I reckon Mitch Lewis from the Hawks would be a great fit and would be willing to see if they took the bait of ANB and Chandler as well as our first 3 draft picks for he and Harley Reid (pick 1).
