Both are gettable and both would provide things we need. Especially Himmelberg. With Petty going forward and May on his last legs, Himmelberg would be very handy
Both would be good but both would cost first rounders and I'm a bit uneasy about giving up a first rounder for a 27 year old (in Himmelberg) with the Tasmanian team coming in who will essentially take all the talent for a couple of years.

Both are free agents [emoji51]

Himmelberg is ok. I'd prefer if we brought in a key forward they're either a little better or a bit younger with more room to improve.

Suspect Gresham would only be interested if he was offered more than he's worth. A good player on his day but inconsistent.

I reckon Chandler in time can he better than Gresham; don't mind the Himmelberg option to play in defence (he's a gun down back) if we plan on keeping Petty forward.

We don’t have a list spot available for mid season draft do we?

This will get shouted down but I wouldn't mind us taking a punt on [PLAYERCARD]Paddy Dow[/PLAYERCARD]. Won't cost us more than a very late pick and he gives us something in the midfield we don't have much of - genuine pace and lateral movement.

Would likely be depth but I'd rather someone with his attributes as a back-up than Dunstan, who is an inferior version of what we already have.

Would be a low risk, possibly high reward move imo.

If he could kick, maybe, but he's a terrible user of the footy.

I'd rather get some first round midfield talent in who can come in and learn off Clarry/Trac - instead of recycled players.

If Dow was a pick 60 nobody would think twice about him. He's a Toumpas level bust because he just has no poise.

While not totally against it, I think us trading out Frost and Hunt tell us how much we value speed over skill. In saying that, it's not like Dunstan is Mr Clean, so I dunno. I reckon we've got some speed there if we want to actually use it - Woey is one of the quickest at the club, Howes can run and use it well, Kozzy could be attending more centre bounces, Sparrow is up there in terms of times at the club as well - get some of them more into the midfield mix and we'll be quicker IMO.

We started the year with so much talk about mixing it up more, and Goody did it for a little while, but week by week he's chipped away at it to the point where Clarry, Trac and Viney went way over season average in the middle against the Power. Just need Goody to find his guts again and actually stick to what they learned last year.

Yeah we need blokes in the midfield who can hit a target. Our F50 is s* enough as it is without having more mids who can't hit a target.

Exceptional post - couldn’t agree more. It’s the gradual erosion that’s making me lose faith this year.

This is why I’m losing faith very quickly in the coaching group. They know what they need to do but they keep regressing to the same old shit.

Whenever it's a close game and Goody stacks the centre bounce with Clarry, Trac and Viney the commentators always lose their shit going "LOOK AT ALL THE TALENT IN THERE, THEY KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS CLEARANCE IS"...then we usually proceed to lose said clearance, while all three of them trail their opponent by several metres.

Wrong thread for this comment.

I think we need a FIRESTARTER in the FORWARDLINE. I would trade our late first rounder (courtesy of Freo) for someone like ALL AUSTRALIAN [PLAYERCARD]Chad Wingard[/PLAYERCARD]. We also lack a quality KEY FORWARD so we must get Harry Himmelberg in as a FREE AGENT. I would also try to tempt Richmond with our top 6 pick with TOM LYNCH who may not want to go through a rebuild. These sound and logical moves are just the tonic to fix our forwardline woes.

Kynan Brown backed up his 31 disposal BOG performance last week to then put in another 30 disposal display against Northern Knights in yesterday's game.

Kid is putting on some big performance since the young guns game he was apart where he also was one of Vic Metro best players.

I'd seriously hope we think long and hard before trading away any picks for established players moving forward. The list needs a good clean out and to get younger. Definitely stop going after the Brown and Grundy types. Goody doesn't deserve any more win now recruiting.

I'd be open to trading them for younger guys, but yeah agree with a general theme of not trading any more picks unless they're for quality young talent.
