O Sullivan looks like a gun to me. I hope we get him. True key position height too. 198cm.

O’Sullivan looks like a sensible choice given May’s age, Tomlinson’s age/future and Petty’s future position up in the air.

Almost every player looks good on their highlights reel but O’Sullivan seems to have good size, good agility, judges it well in the air and also has good disposal skills.

Touted as a pick around the 10 mark though.

If Melbourne have pick 4 and 5 after a deal with Gold Coast, and they don’t want pick 1 or do but West Coast won’t budge on trading it, Melbourne might try to split pick 4 or 5 for pick ~10 and something else if they like O’Sullivan.

Freo might string a bit of form together and that pick moves much closer to 10 anyway with academy bids also moving the pick back. Same for Gold Coast’s first pick.

I’d be very happy if Melbourne could somehow come away with a true top end tall defender prospect like O’Sullivan and a classy finishing top end forward/mid prospect like Duursma.

Both are obvious list needs and could add something to the AFL team in the short term.

Seems like Liam Henry is 100% gone come season's end, wonder if we are still very interested.

(I really dont GAF either way, just reporting)
Hopefully wont take long to wash the Freo off him.

Im all for getting him just coz it would annoy Freo fans if it worked out. I love that club, they are very good to us.

Knowing our trading relationship with Freo, Henry will win three brownlows if he comes to us and it'll cost us a future fourth rounder.

And they'll pay most of his salary.

He needs to calm down, his improved heaps last few rounds.

If you could compare Henry to somebody on the MFC list, who would it be? Whose spot would he take in the team?

Dunno if he would instantly take anyone's spot, he'd be more a depth piece initially id think.

Can't see Harmes going if JJ goes, and I think JJ goes somewhere where he gets a 4 year deal at 450k - which he will get as a FA. Add Dunstan leaving, and we can't lose three depth midfielders.

JJ wants to stay, Harmes wants to go, so will be intriguing what the club does with them both.

Port fans on main board Grundy thread are convinced we are going to give him to them for free

Maybe we will, depends on if we need the cash for someone else and we just need to get it done.

Related to his personal reasons omission earlier in the year?

Partly. No coincidence he's struggled a bit this year while being relegated to the VFL after pretty much requesting a trade.

i'd trade out Harmes for Henry. he might add something different to our midfield, Harmes certainly doesn't.

Jordon wants to stay at the footy club and the dees want him to stay, but he's weighing everything up in terms of what he's future will look like moving forward in the red and blue.

He knows the club will target more midfield talent through the trade/draft so it's just a matter whether he sees himself in the best 22 in the next couple of years.

Jordon is a Yarrawonga lad and grew up alongside my little brother playing footy and cricket together. Know his mum and step father really well. His old man is a bush footy goal kicking legend.
