People get way too concerned with needing to win every trade, its not possible, so long as you win or break even on the bigger ones and have a strike rate ~50% on the rest youre doing very well which I think we have.
It's no about winning on trades... its about not going backwards, in monetary terms and picks.

Not really. At least, not ones that will be available to Melbourne to draft.

Jed Walter - 195cm - tied to the suns
Ethan Read - forward/ruck - 200+cm - tied to the suns
Nate Caddy - 192cm - available
Jordan Croft - forward/ruck - 200+ cm - tied to the bulldogs
Archer Reid - forward/ruck - 200+cm - available

So if you're after a key forward in the first round your available options as a team are 192cm Nate Caddy in the top 10, or 200+cm Archer Reid towards the back end of the first round.
Archer Reid is one I liked the look of, from the video I've seen of him.

Not a power mark but a very reliable mark and very mobile, and seems quite smart decision wise, a good kick on the run spotting up players forward of him like a midfielder.
I see someone who if he makes it, can replace Max's mobility and reliability winning ball between the arcs, and spotting up targets with ball by foot. Is also played a lot as a mobile forward type.
Very balanced physically and also mentally it appears.

Agree. He would make half the teams in the comp better if he was in their side. He just doesn't fit our structure.

Would he really? Or is it only Melbourne and Frematle who overvalue ruckman massively.

A less prolific WAFL game this week for Curtin, but his defensive acts shone brightly along with his typical clean ball use.

I don't think we're a chance for Curtin anymore, unfortunately.

North fans talk about of both sides of their mouth lmao. "Brayden George is training better than Wardlaw", "Phillips was the right pick ahead of McDonald", "now that we've got Clarkson and Reid we've got a dynasty". All followed by "three spoons in a row, this is untenable, the league needs to help us".

Gotta love some big footy civil war. The positive fans and the negative fans going head to head

The official unofficial BigFooty North Melbourne recruiting dept reps are furiously re-writing their plans now that West Coast won. Some long nights ahead before two big weeks of negotiating.

Hawthorn will take care of the Dockers at the G, IMO. Odds of North beating the Suns are about 2trilliion-1.

Pick 4 still on the cards.
