Edmund on SEN basically said we're actively trying to get Harmes and Tomlinson off our books so I'd have them in the almost certainly gone category.

As much as I'd love Brown and Tmac to retire I can't see us eating their contracts.

We're going to be very busy in the trade/draft period regardless to fill all those spots.
Whilst it's tempting to look at those names and think about the cash it could free up for a 'big fish', we're going to need to address our depth if the majority of those guys go. Threadbare in that department otherwise

All jokes aside, maybe if Harmes isn't psychically cooked and just needs a change of environment for whatever reason he could be a good pick up for someone
I think he can be a really good pickup for someone.

Only 27 and clearly just needs a fresh start - not sure what the go with him missing so much footy for personal reasons is this year but his head just isn't in it.

Can play half forward, can play on ball, can play as a tagger, likes a goal, strong over the ball and can take a mark. This year is the real outlier in his form over the last 5 years or so.

Port: You'll be sharing ruck duties with Ratugolea

Grundy:
dies robert carlyle GIF

I have always stated Grundy has never had any interested returning to SA
Because they delisted his brother? Why did he meet with them a week ago then?

Surprised that Sydney fans all seem pretty happy to just send pick 22 our way for Grundy. Would take that and run

Prolific work in the contest was the highlight for Sanders this week. If he didn't win it himself he was laying a tackle to ensure the Knights mids couldn't escape.

That being said, once academy/FS picks happen, it'll be about the same as the pick 27 we paid last year.

One on hand, he's a year older, but on the other, there's one year less of that bloated contract, so probably makes sense.

Pick 27 became pick 30 which Collingwood on-traded to Carlton for their second rounder this year: #33.

So we will already come off better than Collingwood from that deal if we just get either of Sydney's second rounders.

Pretty hilarious, Kane cornes said Sydney were favourites on the SFS and Damo tries to say he still thinks Port.

Reckon Kane would know lol

This leak out of Port is pretty funny. Implying Grundy didn't want to play for them because their standards are too high.
The Power put together a football-focussed presentation to Grundy and were happy to pick up Melbourne’s contract, which expires at the end of 2027.

Grundy was keen to explore the club’s views on work-life balance and, as first reported by Sam Landsberger of the Herald Sun, more attracted to the lifestyle in Sydney and the opportunities it could present outside of football.

Port Adelaide's DNA is fundamentally different to Sydney's and believes its core responsibility is football and the expectations from its passionate fanbase demand this.

Pretty ridiculous we are getting that for Grundy if the report is true. Great result

Guess it shows rucks hold value regardless. Remembering Pruess got us a pick in the 30's also after that failed here too.

Next watch us pump up Tim English's trade value.

Having lived in both Sydney and Adelaide – correct call, Brodie.
With footballer money you'd be mad not to want to live in Sydney.

Outside of that, I'd much prefer to be living up here if I was a footballer – South Australian footy fans are psychotic lol.

Would work for certain folks though, I suppose.

We at Port care way too much about football, Brodie felt the Swans care free attitude when it comes to football suited him better. 😅
