JJ off to Sydney

Happy Season 3 GIF by The Office

Haha they're not paying Jordon 800k per year mate.

Late 2nd To early 3rd round pick.
Will be after our 2nd rounder or after our 3rd rounder as a free agent. So 34 or 53

It’s funny, I’m happy that he’s gone but he’s the type of player that could go on to have a good career at the Swans. Blokes like Rhyce Shaw, Ted Richards etc looked like absolute potatoes before finding a role in the red and white.

They were both better than spud Jordan. Hell be delisted within a couple yrs

I just can't see it with him. What are his strengths? He's slow, a poor kick, has no core strength and can't break a tackle, and takes forever to make decisions.

Even with a good development program around him, I just don't see him having the traits to ever be more than a good VFL player.

Yeah fair that does make more sense. Wonder if we are looking to move that future first on with 13 then for a top 10 picks that's very us
Cal Twomey said earlier that he thinks the Bulldogs will end up getting GCs pick 4 by using 10 and 17, then Melbourne will come for pick 10.

That would be a good result, although shits me that pick 10 will be 15-16 in reality.

We basically played him out of position his entire time with us. When he was played in the middle he was behind a bunch of other inside mids that he effectively became a receiver. If Sydney play him as an inside mid he should do okay.

Guess you could say he's disciplined. Could play as the defensive mid in a midfield with more attacking players and a rule he's not allowed to kick

I’m happy to see him go for the reasons you outlined above. He’s a worse version of the many inside mids that we have on the list.

Maybe Sydney have a particular role in mind for him? They do seem short on inside/defensive mids. Maybe he only plays particular games as a tagger or defensive forward? They may see him as a defensive forward? Or an upgrade on Ryan Clarke who played a solid role for them in their charge to the Granny last year?

He could well end up delisted but if I were to back any club to get a decent tune out of him, it would be Sydney.

We’re not linked to him and the Saints would probably want a tad more than our pick 25 but I’d take Dougal Howard as a Tomlinson upgrade if we could strike a decent deal.

how are casey going to go next year without Jordon, Harmes and Dunstan rocking up for 35 and a goal every week
That’s ok because they’ll have the 3 headed monster of Schache, T McDonald and BBB up forward with Oliver and Jeffo on the ball.

I hope we don't pick up VFL level players for the sake of it, but you really don't want your VFL team getting trounced each week and we look like we will lose a lot of depth this year.

It's a balancing act that you need to get right for the development of your young guys

Rhyce Shaw yes, Ted Richards no

But I agree I could see him being delisted in 24 months
