After processing the Oliver stuff over a few days and a thousand pages of bigfooty I've come around to the idea of trading Oliver. It would have to be a godfather type deal though. I'm not sure about the rumours but it's been around for a while now, I recall drugs mentioned while we had the Oliver hamstring saga during the season.

Have to laugh at Corners acting like some office gossip girl. Nothing has happened and he already sounds like a bitch.

Eh, if we weren't open to it we could have shut it down by now. Clearly we haven't, we're definitely listening to what clubs have got to offer.

I suggest listening to the full segment he did. There was a lot of detail about his communications with the club, their answers and non-answers to certain questions.

This is what's triggering a lot of sensitive Melbourne supporters.

They're simply not looking at the bigger picture, instead they seeing more at how many more awards he can add to his cabinet. Like who gives a s**t if he's a 4x best and fairest winner? Give me flags thanks.

Some of the comments on social media from our very own supporters is embarrassing really. I've seen such comments such as they'll stop supporting club, sack Goodwin, won't renew memberships etc.

We need a hero to step in and stop this madness, that would be Belinda from Trac's comments section on instagram, to tell everyone the definition of support, shes sticking by her team.

For mine, the reality is Oliver has had a troubled year, been a bit all over the place, Dees are doing the due diligence they would for any call they get from clubs about any player.

What's getting posted here is we're offering him up to everyone, he has drug issues, we're better without him, and if we trade him we automatically win flags. It's just silly.

I do find it funny that supporters get so attached to players. I actually know someone that swapped from essendon to port because of wanganeen, though perhaps a smart choice. I liked jack watts but I love fritsch much more. At the end of the day you need to do what is best for the club.

Stopped getting attached to players at about 21 years old (I still would be shattered if Koz left though). You forget them pretty quick when the club has some success.

Only real attachment I have left is seeing the hard luck stories. Jones and Jetta missing the flag while blokes like Jordan played and then Melksham this year resurrecting his career then doing his knee were shattering.

When the Carolina Panthers cut my all time fav player Steve Smith and he torched us in his first game against us playing for Baltimore I did quietly enjoy the ass kicking we coped though must say. Never thought of changing teams, but was happy to see him make us pay in a weird way.

The trash talk on the sideline to the camera from Steve at the end of the game after the Ravens won still a highlight to this day "Panthers, take your ass back to Carolina and make sure you mow my lawn for me, keep it clean"
