Will Clayton Oliver be put back on the trade table?

Last time we traded a favourite son with addiction issues we were able to nab an All Australian full back.

No. No one's giving shit for him

Just cause it happened once doesn't mean it'll happen again.

Just read a phantom draft that described Duursma as being very similar to Fritsch

I doubt we take him on that alone. That said saw this blokes profile and shitty we won’t be in the range to get him

16. Jack Delean - Sth Adel - 181cm 73kg - 2 years ago he was being talked up as a possible pick 1 and being compared to Isaac Heeney (when Heeney was a t the top of his powers in 2021), had a quiet 2022 and everyone forgot about him, his year this year has been great, he was a highlights reel at the champs going for speccies or kicking freak goals, real excitement machine and unfortunately because SA were so average i think a few have been under rated imo

The Petty shenanigans would mean that we may have to target O'Sullivan. He won't be there at 11 so we would need to somehow to move up the order without bundling it with pick 6.

With the Oliver shenanigans we may also need another mid. So 1 mid and O'Sullivan would be the perfect draft to me.

Saw this on Facebook thought it was too important to not share

James-less Dees. Unless Melbourne can trade or draft back another James they will be James-less for the first time since 1996 having had James McDonald, James Cook, James Frawley, James Sellar, James Strauss, James Magner (the man who built Eastlink), and the now traded James Harmes and James Jordon play for them.
This will leave Hawthorn and Sydney both who have multiple James's to take over the James streak.
In contrast West Coast Eagles have never had a James play for them, the only current team who hasn't featured a James.

How did they miss James “Jimmy” Stynes? The James streak is at least back to the mid 1980s.

Ah yes, just what we need, more tweaks to an already ****ed system. Keep chasing you tail AFL.

Just blow it up and start over.

Given up on trying to understand it already. Looking forward to further complications to the system because the AFL is obsessed with making half-measures that achieve nothing, make no one happy, but at least make it look like they are doing something.

You said it far better than me. Spot on mate.

So weird...wouldnt you just take the best offer from the WA clubs as Brockman? I know thats exactly what id be doing. You can still hang out with your mate who plays for the Eagles.. Might not get another contract as good for the rest of your career.

FREMANTLE has upped its bid to land Hawthorn forward Tyler Brockman, but the small goalkicker remains steadfast on going to West Coast.

The Dockers have increased their offer to Brockman to a four-year deal, however Brockman is intent on heading to the Eagles, where he has a strong link to premiership forward Liam Ryan.

Brockman is out of contract and can walk to the Eagles via the pre-season draft if a deal is not executed between the Hawks and West Coast.

"Essendon’s free agency move for St Kilda’s Jade Gresham will go down to the wire as the two clubs jostle over the compensation the Saints will receive.

"The Bombers are expected to proceed with a free agency bid to claim the goal kicker but will have to submit it with the AFL by Friday 5pm.

"But the forward’s future remains clouded as St Kilda has maintained it will match a bid from Essendon if his salary does not trigger an end-of-first-round compensation pick."

This is why free agency compo has to either go or be totally re-worked. This is blatant draft tampering, endorsed and encouraged by the AFL.
