Absolute worst outcome is if WCE don't take our offer and we leave Curtin on the board for this Leake guy (whoever that is)

hes pretty impressive honestly. Looks a very natural footballer. Just very skinny.

We'd get like Melbourne luck with him anyway. Would probably blow his ACL in preseason, season 1 like Petracca

North is the only club that can offer more really, maybe they come up with a better offer than ours in the end but they seem like they aren't interested in going crazy for now.
Yeah, And I don't think they should trade 2 or 3 considering they picked Sheezal and Wardlaw last year. So they nailed it I felt. So if they can get 2 players in that early in the draft with close to the same results they are setup nicely.

WCE are the ones under pressure I feel. Pick 1 is great but that is all they have. They have little to no players they can trade either. Looks like a long rebuild for them.

Thought Leake was projected to be available around our second pick?

I like him far more than someone like Wilson honestly. #6 seems like a decent reach but not going to say it's terrible given the players likely available

Usually when you hear the word utility to describe someone in todays game it should send off red alerts, they are positionless and get a game based on athletic traits.

But Leake seems a real natural all over the ground, I think we've all played with someone like that in juniors or country seniors, skinny campaigner who you wouldnt look twice at thinking hes a footballer but somehow hes better than everyone on the park.

Just put a note - 'Plays like: Cameron Pederson' next to a utility and I'll be sold.

Some more impressive stuff here, umpire kidding himself at 0:35 , should have been paid the mark

Some impressive stuff but a lot that also makes me worried about spending a high pick on him. Double grabs pretty much every mark in that vid. Looks a good athlete but probably the the most impressive thing to me is his set shot kicking, which is unreal.

Hes not a key forward so can I excuse some double grabs, still some impressive marks, displaying leap, courage going back with the flight, holding off his opponent with one hand and taking the one that should have been paid. Its all there.

Seemed like a windy day, set shot kicking is outrageous.

Has the number one draft pick ever been the best player in the draft? Have they ever come close?

I’d rather take punts on 6 and 11 (and a future first).

Yeah you'd almost draft him just for his set shot.

Looks like an AFL prospect with excellent athleticism but he doesn't scream early draft pick just on that video alone.

Re the Reid offer, gee that makes me concerned. That is giving up so much for one player. Would much, much rather take those picks to the draft.

Check out the first video I posted, bit more of him all over the ground. The second one he's playing down back.

I'm ok with it. The fact that we are willing to take just two picks in the draft - one as high as possible, and then Kynan Brown late - tells me we really don't rate 10-50 range. If we are going to trade up as high as possible, might as well be for the No.1

And I'd be surprised if we didn't find another way to get back into the first round next year - Petty, for example
