The offer for Pick 1 is too much and still not as good as North’s offer (which I think Eagles will take a version of closer to draft night).

I don’t think it matters who we’d be planning to pick at 6 or 11 or any of the other picks, it would be staking too many good picks on a single player when there’s never any guarantee pick 1 turns out to be the best player in the draft.

But if you consider the hype then the Cockatoo-Collins brothers take the cake

David was the compensation pick for losing Jason Norrish, there was a lot of hype at the time.

Gasper is a good nomination, he was around the time when we were clearly the best for having the worst brother

I never rated Norrish. Seems a decent lose/lose trade.

there is significant reward on offer for picking the right players at 6 and 11 and in the first round next year.

Can’t recall many examples of top 8 sides needing to sell a bunch of good draft picks to get pick 1 in order to win a flag.

Whilst I agree with what you're saying not sure the pick 1 example works, the club with it are way to scared to trade it ever so it's never been able to be proven.

What I will say is If we are gonna win the flag in the next 2 years, we'd win it without Reid he won't be a difference maker.

I agree, I'd actually say the bigger risk would be giving up two top 11 picks and potentially a top 10 picks for probably our strongest area of the ground

Surprised that old mate believes its McKercher the Eagles want if they are trading Reid, so very real chance Curtin could be available at our pick if thats the case
