From the article it seems like Twomey thinks we will take 3 picks.
He mentions other clubs likely to take 1 or 2 and use rookie upgrades to round out the 3.

3 picks at a minimum sounds more like what you would do if you are “going to the draft”.

Could be anything really. If he can stay switched on for a whole game would go top12 in the draft, unfortunately for the moment he is somewhat like Keeler, dominants for short phases then switches off

Reckon he's the sort of player Norf would be keen on given they just lost Goldie and delisted Jacob Edwards. Wouldn't be surprised to see them grab him with one of their teens picks as well as a project ruckman.

Not that it means a lot on this forum, but it will determine the players who'll still be available at our first pick.

Jacob Edwards didn’t eventuate to much from the fanfare as #1 MSD.

You're probably right, but it seems they're screaming for a 2nd marking option alongside Larkey.

For mine, if we were looking at a 3rd marking option up forward, Morris is the one I'm still keen on. Really liked what he dished up in the U18 Champs, and should be well within our pick range.

Guess if we stay with the picks we currently have and with what Austin said about drafting for depth we’d probably get a midfielder and a half forward with our first two picks then another developing tall similar to Lemmey with a later pick.

Not the most exciting draft period but it pays to remember that for a top four team we have the Hollands bros, Motlop, Binns, Durdin, Cowan, Monahan and Duffy coming through.

I’m hoping there is a developing tall with one of the first two picks (depending on what’s available obviously). There has been plenty of high quality talls picked up at around our first two picks (even taking into account the actual number will be lower).

To displace Mots and Durds, I think Gothard might need a different trick, like kicking 50m goals or taking strong marks.
We need a junior Elliott.
Even Bobby Hill didn't look like a Norm Smith medalist playing for the Giants.(I don't know if he won the medal, but he was very good)

Still reckon we need to add some 'spunk' * to defence, Cowan is that Zurhar/Archer type of ruthless, tough defender we need to add to our defence; Tholstrup if he lasts is a moral, just imagine those two maturing together as the hardest arsed motherf%$&rs in the competition.

It may depend on the status of our Irish recruits as to how many list spots we have. Soapy mentioned we're seeking clarification from the AFL.

Yeah, there seems to be a bit of confusion all round depending on what you read or hear. Either way, we can still take 3 in the draft.

As per the previously known rules, we have 3 spots.
There are suggestions that the rules in relation to Irish Cat B players have changed, but have not been announced anywhere that anyone can find. If the rules have actually changed to allow both Irish players to be Cat B, then we would have 4 spots.
