Captains 2023 Fantasy VC & Captain Selections

Hey guys so I made English my VC and had C on Green and want to keep English as C so how do I go about making this happen?

Do I put Day on the field and make him C and cover Day with an Emergency?

Find a player on your bench that hasn't played yet and that isn't going to play and make them captain, whilst also having an emergency score that can cover the 0 on field (might be tough if your emergencies have already played and scored poorly)

What if I had E on a Defender already and that defender played but was injured, is that E gonna be a donut and not go to the other defender that's yet to play?

Who was it, because a DNP zero emergency won't count.
So if you had an E 0 DNP, and then added an E who scores, you will get the score.

If an emergency scores 1, and you add a second E for def, who scores 50, you get the 2.
But a zero DNP won't count.
So you could've looped English.

Not going to trust Macrae or LDU (M1, M2)
Dunkley isn't an option these days. Taranto maybe

VC Touk into C Oliver - if Davey Jnr. misses another match/JVR misses with Brown returning.

Otherwise VC Laird into C Oliver

Chesser and Green red dots both having early games is annoying. English and Rozee the only real VC options

English (Darcy) vs Rozee (Eagles) who he got 119 on last year. Given the match ups I'll roll the dice with Rozee and see if he can pull out another one. Plenty of juicy (C) options anyway if it's a bust

Rory Laird has until recently been the number one target of oppo coaches in looking to stop the Crows midfield. Now with Dawson and Rachele in there too, I expect Rory will enjoy the relative freedom of not attracting the strongest attention.
Great player who hasn't really hit his straps yet this year. I'm comfortable with him as captain. (Oliver is currently in beast mode. Strong contender too)

As I only have #7 and #8 from that list all I feel is anticipatory schadenfreude...

Good plan but I'm liking the early VC choice. We're not playing until Sunday . Early VC is an excellent strategy and provides options over the weekend. Halves the risk of a captain injury or quite game.
