AFL copying FIFA with the naming thing. Just so you know that they don't do anything on their own initiative.

I don't know nor care who did it first but the AFL has been listing venues with their Indigenous name for at least the last couple of years in the AFL and AFLW. But regardless, it's a name. That's it. Is it tokenism? Yes. Should the AFL be doing more than tokenism? Of course But does it detract from anything? No. **** some of you whine about the stupidest things

So guessing that if I get a ticket to the Port game for me, and my son (we got given 2 voucher codes on the email) we can wander in just after half time of the Don's/Dees game, no extra cost, and it's all going to be tickety-boo?
But we have to sit in the seats we get allocated by the ticketing app, which will be the same seats for both games?

If we elect to get seats for the Geelong game on Sunday as well, do we log out of Ticketek and back in again, to get tickets for that separately?
Or do we stay in Ticketek, and select another game - think that's termed a multi day pass(???), which you may need to select when first logging in?

Anyone who knows the logistics of the process, and can provide advice (no swearing thanks) is appreciated.

Cheers peeps 👍🤪

6 games at AO
2 games at Norwood
1 game in Adelaide Hills

I’m afraid this will backfire. What’s the point of the round?
Particularly the 2 games at Norwood. I'd watch football virtually anywhere else.

I've never noticed stadiums names been called by their indigenous names 🤔🤷‍♂️

It was done as a footnote to the AFL fixture last year. In the 2021 fixture it wasn’t done at all. That’s the only place I could find it - it’s definitely not mentioned on the Match Reports on the AFL website.

They've definitely done it the last 2 AFLW seasons, though admittedly I forgot they were both essentially this year.

But again, who cares

Looks to have leaked

Double ups are Adelaide, Bulldogs, Collingwood, Richmond, Geelong, Essendon. Tough. Very tough. But massive financially you would expect.

Friday night home against Melbourne, Friday night away games against Saints and Bulldogs, home Thursday against Geelong.

Looks good for us, either we perform well or Donuts gets the boot early.

We play Norf in Hobart at like exactly the same time as last (2022) season
Genuinely thought the AFL would make a big deal of this because of the "fuming" North fans but I guess they realised there's only 8 North fans anyway

So 1st, 4th, 7th and 8th amongst the double-ups? Almost the hardest possible option assuming with the extra round we now get two from each of 1-6, 7-12 and 13-18. Even our two from the bottom six aren't gimmes.

Last year against those six teams we went 4-6. If that form continues we'd need to go 9-3 against the other 12 teams to make finals. I think we got the tough fixture we all asked for...
