I welcome a tough draw for a few reasons however the double ups for a side that missed finals are bizarre.

Pretty sure if you finished between 7th and 12th the formula dictates that you play 2x top 6 and 2x middle 6 teams. So technically our fixture meets this criteria but it’s practically the harshest combo you could conjure especially when considering that we finished in the arse end of the middle 6 to begin with. Our top 6 teams include the premier and another top 4 finisher and our 2x middle 6 teams are the highest ranked in that bracket making finals as well. It’s all very amusing!
