Fixture 2023 fixture

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

I have gone through the fixture list with my analysis matrix and have calculated that there are 24 danger games coming up next year. If we lose any of these danger games there will be much throwing of toys out of cots, babies with the bath water and lids will firmly remain shut. Fagan better not lose any of these danger games for there will surely be calls for his head.
I’m most worried about the Bye. That team always gets us.

I only renewed my membership last night. Does anyone know if I'll get a code for this match? Or am I best calling the club tomorrow morning?
All the codes have gone out via email
So, if you don't receive one by 10am tomorrow give them a call on the number below

All 18 teams will come together in Adelaide for Gather Round...A Festival of Footy!

As a Brisbane Lions access member, you have the opportunity to redeem one free ticket to watch the team play against North Melbourne at Summit Sports and Recreation Park, Mount Barker on Saturday 15 April.

This is an additional benefit to your 2023 membership package, and does not impact your existing entitlements for next season.

Tickets go on-sale Monday 12th December via Ticketek. AFL and Club access members have access to a priority redemption period from 11:30AM - 3:30PM (AEST) / 12:30PM - 4:30PM (AEDT) before tickets go on sale to the general public at 4:30PM (AEST) / 5:30PM (AEDT).

To redeem your free ticket, you must enter your individual 12-character voucher code detailed below. Your membership barcode will not unlock this additional benefit for Gather Round.

With high demand expected, members are asked to only redeem tickets if they plan to attend out of fairness to other members.
Your Member Voucher Code(s):
XXXXXXXXXXXXX
One ticket can be redeemed per voucher code up to the transaction limit of 10 tickets. To redeem multiple tickets as a group with other members, you will need their voucher code.

Additional tickets will not be available for purchase during the member priority redemption period.

Tickets for our match at Summit Sports and Recreation Park will be general admission only with no allocated seating within the venue.

The voucher code is valid both in the member priority redemption window and in the general public on-sale, with tickets subject to availability.

For some reason our draw does not feel all that hard to me
I suppose it could all come tumbling down with a stack of injuries
Below from AFL site

Play twice: Adelaide, Collingwood, Fremantle, Gold Coast, Melbourne, St Kilda

First four: Port Adelaide (A), Melbourne (H), Western Bulldogs (A), Collingwood (H)

Last three: Adelaide (H), Collingwood (A), St Kilda (H)

Points accumulation throughout the season aside (and I really would like to finish top two this time) my only concern there is that finishing with Adelaide, Collingwood, St Kilda might not be the best seasoning for finals footy ... ah well maybe the Pies will be needing to win for the 8 and St Kilda convinced they have something still to play for in the final round and play their best game of the season.

Update on this... Clicking the link in your post yesterday took me to a page which said "access denied", however checking back this morning it now looks like I have access to a ticket via my own 12-character code. I still haven't received any email about Round 5 (which is fair enough given it went out last week), so thanks for sharing the link! Otherwise I would have had a code but would have no idea how to access it.

5th by the sounds of it.
I think it depends on whether you use Fox's %-based model, or the AFL's ladder position based model. The key differing factor here is Collingwood, so the AFL is taking into account their 3rd placed finish while Fox is taking into account their "average" % of 104. This seems to be the main difference in these two fixture analyses.

Average it out and it works out to our finishing position after home and away last year so seems pretty fair.

Okay managed to get our barcodes. Does anyone have 2 spare they won't be using? I assume they are one off codes. I need them for the parents-in-law and from what i read we can't buy any additional tickets when we redeem our member ones, which seems annoying...

I would be surprised if you were not able to get some tickets in two days' time.
Public ticket sales from 4.30pm (AEST)/ 5.30pm (AEDT) via Ticketek
Just make sure you set up a Ticketek account beforehand if you don't already have one

Thanks for that I'll have a go and see what happens

It's all general admission so once GA comes out you can just get more (if you don't find two spare membership codes).

I reckon St Kilda slides a bit this year, potentially bottom 6.

Adelaide is still probably a bottom 6 team.

Gold Coast, Collingwood and Fremantle all appear to look like middle 6 teams.

Melbourne feels like the only genuine contender amongst our double ups.

Spoilers for the 2023 season ahead.

I ran the season through an AI algorithm and received the following results. For perspective, this model predicted the last 10 grand final results so it is extremely accurate.

I can see us losing no more than 2 games.

That’s a cracker of a year for Gold Coast!

I tend to agree. I expect Melbourne to be a top contender and possible win the flag, but the Pies and Dockers I think won't have quite as good a set of results as last year.

Suns will be very interesting but we haven't lost to them since 2018, so hard to be too worried about them at this stage. Think they'll be between 11th and 7th.
