One MCG game stinks. Top four interstate teams should get more games at the MCG. Hell, top eight should.

Knowing a ground does give one team an advantage so all interstate teams in finals at the MCG are disadvantaged.

The wind patterns, difference in surface, sun etc. all impact. And yes, the ground size and shape. So critical when every ground is different.

The AFL suck.
Sure it stinks

But the wind, the surface, the sun, the rain, the opposition, the crowd, the ground size and shape didn't matter to our champion sides of 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Beating the bastards with all of that against us just added to the satisfaction.

If we are good enough, we'll overcome all that.

Since the beginning of the AFL era in 1990, non -Vic sides have won 12 of 23 possible Flags.

Lions three (2001,2002,2003 ); Adelaide two (1997, 1998); WCE four (1992, 1994, 2006, 2018); Sydney two (2005,2012); Port one(2004)

Sydney have managed to lose five GF's in that period as well. 1996, 2006, 2014, 2016 and 2022)

But as we all know....Sydney is a p***weak club;)

So relax.

Get to the GF and we have an excellent chance:smallfooty:

I'm surprised someone from the older generation needs a calculator.

But Luthor's last point is an excellent one.

The GF is a whole new ball game. It's on the day who handles the occasion best and how good they are.

I don't think it matters much where it's played or whether you've played there before or not.

Got to get there first, the last 4 years have proved that it is hard to do.
That’s why a top 2 finish is all important, 2 home finals would go a long way.

12 of 33 years?
West Coast have won 4 (92/94/06/18)
Brisbane have won 3 (01/02/03)
Sydney and Adelaide have won 2 (05/12 - Sydney) (97/98 - Adelaide)
Port Adelaide have won 1 (04)

Absolutely crucial for us this year.

With the team we have 2 Gabba finals should get us to the GF.

Playing a prelim interstate sucks it out of you a bit especially if you get stuck with a shorter turnaround .

Thursday games are a bit of a pain to get to from the Gold Coast as well. Usually too tired for work the next day after fighting off Richmond ferals on the train

Sheesh. Ruin a good rant.

I'll have to find something else annoying to rant about. But that's what kids are good for right?
