Preseason I would've said Cunnington, but geez, JHF looked electric against a pretty strong midfield. Personally, I think I'd lean JHF now – saves yourself $65k, less likely to get rested and play different roles, and the ceiling looks to be quite a bit higher.

Also, if neither end up quite at keeper level, >350k is much more justifiable. I think if you brought Cunnington in now, it'd need to be as a keeper, and I don't think he's going to be up to that this year.

Plan is to have both JHF & Cunnington ......I had JHF the whole PS, up until Yeo got injured ....rationale was, I thought Cunnington would ave 100 & be consistent .....whereas JHF I pegged for an 85-90 ave

That said, I've had both in preference to Rozee

Fyfe should be dropped (but won't). Another game like that and Longmuir can't play him.

He’d be ok as the deepest forward, and when the mids aren’t rolling he’s 2nd tier mid.

Instead they didn’t even use him midfield at all. Should have rolled him through there early 2nd half to get some momentum.

Probably is you certainly can’t play Treacy with him. They are so similar - only impactful as the deep forward, not really any defensive pressure.

I was swapping between him and Gulden all preseason. Ended up with Gulden so I could afford more of the expensive rookies. Will get Cogs at some point.

Really thought they'd play him forward and give him freedom to roam higher up the ground, bit like Heeney / Greene. Seems strange to keep him deep, body still mustn't be right

If you've told him to change his body shape for the past 6 months, then set game plans in place for the whole PS not just with Fyfe but with the whole team that's not gonna be thrown out after 1 game.
