Hard to figure out which is worse, their batting or bowling.

Six to end it, rub the muppets nose in it :)

Captaincy is just as bad

Is Natalie Germanos always such a hopeless commentator? In the space of 10 minutes, she said:
"Josh Buttler" (repeatedly)
"England only managed to bat 53.2 overs in their innings."
"Nissanka and Samarawickrama played brilliantly; an unbroken partnership of 157" (it was only 137)

Never noticed her before, but if she's a seasoned commentator you'd wonder if something is seriously wrong.

England has been accused of relying too heavily on data. Mott claimed that “the numbers around chasing were quite strong” at Wankhede Stadium, but of the 23 previous ODIs played at the iconic venue, 12 were won by the chasing team.

This was after the SA loss, but if you're using data like this no wonder you're cooked. 12/23 is a tick over 50% , hardly worth blindly following.

And deciding to field in the hottest part of the day cooking yourselves before you bat.

England are the Rasputin of cricket though. No matter how shite they look for an extended period they are difficult to kill off. I fully expect India to pull one of their patented choke jobs against the Poms just to keep their chances of advancing alive if only so slightly.

They're really dead this time. They'd need to win out and Australia lose 3 games of our last 4 (NZ Eng Afg Bang) - plus hope that none of the teams above them got to 5 wins as their NRR is so poor.
