I mean anything can happen, however from the above:

St kilda to rise? Based on losing players?

Top 5 sides the same?

Richmond 12th after gaining Taranto and Hopper?

Essendon last below North and WC?

makes perfect sense

Not being a smartarse at all... so respectfully saying it does make sense when you consider that Geelong just fielded the oldest team in V/AFL history on the weekend. All era's come to an end eventually.

How you figure St kilda climbs the ladder ?

Getting an easier fixture would help, we had one of the toughest fixtures this year with double up games against Geelong, Sydney, Brisbane and Freo.

Getting De Goey would help too although he's more likely to stay at Collingwood.

Might work better if that was the clubs people think will shift the most from their 2022 finishing position.

For me, Pies drop by a lot, miss the 8.

Port to do it for Ken and finish top 6 earning Ken a three year extension.

The bottom to fall out of St Kilda.

Geelong to slide because that's what everyone tips every year.

Doggies rise considerably

Port find themselves back up the ladder with an easier run and more cohesion

I too think St Kilda are on their way down

Freo with a slight dip before rising the year after

1-3 marginally ahead

4-10 a clusterf**k where anything can happen 🤷‍♂️ Comps so tight now days

11-16 fairly even.

West coast and GWS to duke it out for the spoon.

For those who think the doggies rise up the ladder, why?
As per my prediction in post 11, I see them missing the 8. They were extremely lucky this year, with Carlton being a far superior side.
Felt like I had to at least make one big call 🤷‍♂️ It’s not that I necessarily believe it.

But I feel like they underperformed slightly this year in the midfield and I can see that forward line becoming very lethal, They are still wanting in defence but I can imagine them just steam rolling over teams without needing to worry for defence so much.

Could also see Carlton making considerable strides next year but I don’t like that so…..

Other teams would be GC (King returning) and Richmond (big recruitment in the off season)

They won’t drop away anywhere on the field and have both JUH and Darcy emerging as quality talls in their front half.
