Historically speaking, teams who get thumped in a grand final often have a poor season the next year. You can absolutely make a GF ahead of time (we did in 2015 for example) and then s**t the bed the next year (2016).

We made top 4 after 2014. Maybe it was the exception, we'll see.

I’d rather do a ladder prediction once the fixture comes out, but one thing I will say is: Carlton will not make top 4.
Going out on a limb there! Very bold! Commendable, risk taking individual!

Come on, do a prediction and we can all laugh at eachothers in September next year when every one of us without a doubt ****s up majorly and predicts someone in an outlandish position.

Post trade period, pre fixture:

1. Geelong
2. Melbourne
3. Brisbane
4. Sydney
5. Richmond
6. Collingwood
7. Western Bulldogs
8. Carlton
9. Fremantle
10. Port Adelaide
11. Gold Coast
12. St Kilda
13. Adelaide
14. Essendon
15. West Coast
16. GWS
17. Hawthorn
18. North Melbourne

You’ll be miles better than Geelong next year. Guaranteed.

I hope so, but remains to be seen how our forward line functions. If JVR can come in and play a role, and if McDonald is healthy/finds some form, we have a chance.

I’m tipping you for minor premiers and to make the GF against us. Don’t even stress about next year. [emoji106]

I'm pretty much the same as this, especially the Top 6.

I'd argue the fixture will help raffle spots 7-12.

Pressure for Cats, Demons, Lions, Tigers, Swans, Pies, Port, Blues, Freo and Bulldogs to make finals. It'll be interesting to see who misses out, chances are one will be unlucky through injury and one more will straight up fail to play to expectations. I doubt the three Big4 clubs all make it, wonder when was the last time at least 3 of the 4 were top 8 in a season.

2019 - Richmond, Collingwood and Essendon. There's been a few years this century where four have made it, but you have to go all the way back to 1973 when all four of the made it.
