Right now I am just hoping Sydney can make the finals. Close but can't afford any slip ups.

Feel the same way about Geelong. After the roller coaster ride we've been on this season. I'd be very happy with an exciting run over the next three weeks and squeaking into the finals, then treating everything from there as a bonus.

Although Carlton's win today pushed us out of eighth to end the round, I don't mind it at all as a result, because it stops St Kilda getting a break and keeps the huge logjam between 5th and 12th intact. We have to win games anyway and I think two out of three (50 points) will just get us there.

Funny to think where our teams would be had someone managed to win the drawn game in Sydney, with our relatively healthy percentages. Ultimately I think Geelong supporters were a bit happier to settle for the draw (especially considering the late misses for the Swans), but the Cats had their fair share of chances to ice it too after getting their noses in front in the fourth.

You only need to win one more game to finish 4th. I agree that the Giants and Freo are danger games but you should beat Richmond at home in the last round to achieve that.

I reckon our first pick will be higher than yours no matter how high we finish. Richmond will be Hoppin' into round 2 though.

Finishing 4th and playing a vulnerable Collingwood team would be a big opportunity. Gotta win at the G.

Port have the easier draw imo.

Carlton draw had them finishing 5th half a game over WB who finish half a game over cats who finish 15% better than Syd
