With Rankine and hopefully Pedlar coming in I was assuming Murphy would be relegated to the ressies.

And I thought he was dropped last year, but now I look at the stats he still played 17 games.

Obviously he should be dropped but I'm not sure the coaches are going to see it this way?
I've said this for years, I like Murphy, I respect what he's gotten out of himself. But at some point we need to prioritize higher ceiling players.

I mean he's been snaking games away from 1st rounders since we had Jordan Gallucci on the list. And he hasn't played since 2019

I’d have him in defence before Jones

Re McHenry vs Jones

The one thing I'll say in McHenry's favour is that at least he's struggling in a difficult role.

Jones has looked average even in his bread and butter role of midfield and also looked average in an easier role down back.

One thing against both of them is that their fitness and work ethic has never been questioned. There's no Bernie Vince coasting going on so no new level they can jump to by upping the ante. I know they're still young-ish but are they at or near what they are capable of?

Did someone post not so long ago that there may be more to it, or was someone trolling?
Someone did post the comment that he may be having some health issue(s) outside of the concussion symptoms. But didn't add any detail or clarify

Is that year over for Seedsman?

Or can they come off the inactive list during the season?
Article says he wont play this year..

You’d have to think, given he’s out of contract at years end, that at his age, with his concussion risk issue and now two whole years out of the game that he wont play again..

Strange that he hasnt simply retired.. surely the AFL would allow a full payout of remaining contract and just let him move on with his life instead of still having to remain on the list (as an inactive) for another year..

I imagine like when we re-rookied Sam Shaw a few years back it has to do with health benefits and entitlements for a listed player vs retired

I don't believe in evidence, I just trust my own eyes ...

There's probably a few out there, but he does two or three in these highlights, when he gets 3 goal assists. It was the first video I looked at, as 3 GA's is about as good as he's ever done.

Nice work by McHenry and Murphy in those highlights but some (much?) of the defensive stuff by various Crows is a little cringeworthy.

Did I just read that Seeds if out for the year again with Concussion?

Just retire mate
I also read that "this opens up another list spot for the Crows"

So with us likely to sign Tyler Brown who is a likely signing to cover Seedsman being put on the inactive list?

So the player people on here keep mentioning as a KPD prospect Ethan Phillips overlooked again in favour of an Irish journey man who has played 13 AFL games in his 6 years on an AFL list with the Saints. Seems Brisbane Lions list Manager Dom Ambrogio and Head Recruiter Stephen Conole don't rate him either?

Possibly stays on due to insurance, treatments etc - not sure of the rules for payments around that type of stuff
