Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

I’m up for trading one of the rucks, have to be Darcy. He’s worth $ and 2 rucks is just not working
Yes it is.

The other one is injured and still kicking a quarter of the goals.

We need natural progression out of Treacy. It's the mark up the line that's the problem

I think you are too purple rose glasses.
Treacy kicked a goal excellent, but he's marginal.
Getting Jackson has killed us s/term

When Jackson isn't injured he is our highest impact player. You've forgotten already.

Sean Darcy is one of our others.

We need a mature body who can take a mark, that's what is missing.

If only a premiership winning AFL gameplan were as simple as finding someone to mark our long bombs up the line.
At one point a couple of years ago we had two of the top 4 contested marks in the AFL
Tabs & Lobb

Guess what? We were still shite

Waste of time having, essentially a tap ruckman who isn't very Mobile if our mids are not good enough to capitalise. May as well get a ruckman who is good at ground level.

It's a key part of most clubs plans. It's what will turn our game plan on.

Got one of them too already. I'll be playing them both at the stoppage next year

Alternatively we could get a game plan that doesn’t need us to stick marks up the line to win.

It's not about depending on it, it's about having it there whenever the options dry up.

He's not a forward, he's a ruck. We paid shedloads for him, gave up 3 pieces. Play him as our number 1 ruck, and trade Darcy.
Get some picks ffs

That midfielder Jackson just laced out the leading forward beautifully.

He's a big mid who rests forward.

Well in pre-season I'd say no boozing.
Started St Kilda well this season.
Basically 2 Rucks is a bad strategy, Hence why Melbourne played with1 last night.
They won btw
So Pre season no boozing and in season no boozing

So don't drink alcohol for your 15 year career? 😂
