Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Has anyone actually watched Sharp play in the last 2 years?
Is he Jordan Clark good or Jack Anthony?

I'd say he's "further along than Stanley / Williams" good and at the very least, already has a tank and can be moulded to play a roll in the short term with potential to be better than that long term. Dont expect miracles, but for what should be free, it's fine

Sharp is probably worth getting imo but jeez talking about his trade value is barely worth the effort.

It's a pick we won't use if we bother at all (might be a DFA).

It would be preferable that he isn't delisted and instead traded for pick #115 (round 7).

If he is delisted and we have the intention of picking him up then all we are doing is creating a headache for ourselves every time he is out of contract in the future - especially if he is of significant contribution to the side.

It won’t come as a surprise to anyone here, but the club believes a certain manager is waging a vendetta against the club, and trying to push Henry out the door. Especially after one of our high profile people quit his stable.

I LOL at this because I originally rolled my eyes at the posters who were convinced that there was a Young conspiracy. Imagine that being true. FMD, how does he have clients? Doesn't word get around?

Stanley / Williams ...and Hughes let's not forget. We can't go back to that.

All well and good but if we chuck him on the wing and he's Ethan Hughes x 2 then I'm gonna be throwing sh#t at the telly. Also, sometimes the new recruits that are training the house down over the pre-season are still not that great. (Ala Brett Bewley, Stephen Giro, and Matt De Beor.)

De Boer played 200+ AFL games. Doesn't deserved to be lumped with those blokes.

Yeah bit harsh but I'm not sure we got the best of him.
I think both clubs he played for got 100% of him because the dude gave it everything. He just didn't have quite enough traits to be better than he was.

Suspect he has no regrets and thats about the best you can do.

De Boer seems to be doing well for himself. Worth a listen with stories from the Freo days

The wings for Gold Coast this week were Noah Anderson and Brandon Fiorini. Brandon Ellis was on the bench and Rory Atkins was the sub.

We’re talking an All Australian squad member and another three kind of decent players at worst, two of which were brought in on big money as free agents.

I couldn’t be bothered looking at who else played wing in 2023 but there’s competition for his spot.

He’s an actual winger. He’ll be better there than us trying HBFs and HFFs there (except maybe Frederick).

If sharp is coming I think that means Hamling can start clearing out his locker.

I’m happy to see sharp come in on a cheap deal. One thing l like about him is that he has a booming kick, can punt the ball 60m with ease.
Dunno why everyone keeps saying we are delisting Hamling. I reckon it would be so stupid. Love how he allows us to play cox forward.

Trade Henry and pick 58 to Hawthorn for pick 29 and a future 3rd (Hawks don't need pick 29 and need points instead). Get Sharp in for a future fourth.

We then have picks 21, 29, 40 and 52 this year. With the amount of academy kids, we may be able to move up either pick 21 or 29 in exchange for picks 40 and 52.

And then next year we have our 1st to 3rd round picks, and Hawks 3rd.

Is the high profile person Jlo or is that old news. I noticed he wasn’t listed on Colons website anymore. Only current coach managed by them is Schofield and Jlo listed as past.
Current players who are on contracts are Walters, Chapman, Tabs, Williams, Banfield and Johnson.
Henry, Colyer, Hambling and Wilson all ooc.

Sharp is Henry's replacement.

Hamling's fate would be independent of that I suspect.
