Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Only one I see a threat of getting Darcy this year is North. Geelong don’t value ruckman enough to get Darcy in contract and I think it would take someone backing the absolute truck up for him anyway.

Talk of getting a player is nuts, teams don’t kick players out for trades- our efforts with Croad and Tarrant show why. Get someone next year with the capspace

Pick 2 and the two future end of first round picks would be the bare minimum. We’d need to have a mature ruck lined up.

I'm genuinely 50-50 on this one. There is clearly something going on behind close doors somewhere regarding Darcy, but how serious and far along it is I have no idea. Even if it is just a pitch from someone that's about to be rejected.

I think it’s better for team balance..but want either an A grade wingman or A grade FP. If we don’t get a quality player I’d rather keep.

Bit worried about Crazy Belly. He is so bad at negotiations.

Barrett is an absolute cum stain but he’s still the most senior journo in the business pretty much.
He doesn’t need to make shit up at this stage of his career. Why would he? There is clearly some smoke behind it.
For me, we should simply not trade him unless there’s a godfather offer this off season. We are talking a monstrous trade price to consider it.
I personally value the extra season of footy we will get from Darcy next year if we hold him to contract. We will still get a top 10 pick next year as a FA, worst case scenario.

He won't be going to either of those clubs and I don't trust that we wouldn't be paying more for either of those than what we got for Darcy

Worst case is actually pick 19 (obviously, that's a good result overall) but even a decent finals run means we have pick 12+ (before any bids).
