Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

According to someone (can't find the link) Darcy to North is unlikely but there are other clubs that are interested. I don't know what that means but I think North is out of the equation at least. No idea if any of the other interest is this year or as a FA.

Also North board reporting that Ralph saying pick 3 for McKay is unlikely. That would be AMAZING because then Dodo would be trading for him. I want this more than a good pick for Henry, would definitely go to the last day.

It does seem to be our positioning. If it does happen, you can bet whomever will pay through the nose. It's almost like we're putting up the "don't bother asking" signals. Either that or Darcy genuinely wants to stay.

I seriously can't get over how bad their valuations are. The only contender is Saints and their widely held belief they are getting a first rounder for Dougal Howard.

I've been meaning to say this for a couple of years now but Hayden Young is the most overhyped kick I can remember.

That said, we definitely could use another top end kick in the backline.

At least for Saints it's because he's contracted and KPD seem expensive at the moment. Cant blame them seeing what BZT and Esava look like going for and thinking a contracted KPD could be worth a bit. It makes some kind of sense.

Yeah you're probably right actually. I was thinking more in terms of having a newborn without support from family nearby.

Easier time on the children to move them young, I'm not sure a one year old even sees their mother as a distinct different human to themselves. Lucky that being an AFL WAG is basically a single mother gig because he needs to be able to focus time on sleep, recovery, training and travel to play.

But having your parents around or even a friend to hold the baby so you can take a shower by yourself or perhaps have a night without interruption.

I hope Joel gets a four year deal worth $500,000 a season.
