Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Would be pretty close. Both be out of contract.

I still hope sharp is top of walls hit list. Still need a winger

On the plus side I think Sharp will be going for cheap this time around. We almost spent a second rounder on him last year. That Stan doco showed that we had an in principle 5 team mega trade agreed which invoived a future 2nd going for Sharp

Top 10 pick and finally showing it, would cost too much

Why would he want to leave the crows too, he has finally locked down a spot and they're on the up

Yeah I´ve got no idea, maybe we can trump them on pay and contract duration? Crows might be weary to give him too large of a contract given performances to date.

Maybe he´d like to join our tasmanian captain and become part of our warchest for when the tassie expansion team joins?

All just blind hope really.

Bell should go with the list management.
Should’ve left with getting Hogan. Then should’ve left with trading Hogan. Now he should leave getting Jackson, not keeping Logue Acres and top it offers give JOM a 4 year contract. Didn’t want to give money to the two yet OMeara is 29 and gets a 4 year deal. Guy is a bust not even 6 games in. What a **** up

Silently the worst off season for 10-15 years.

Snuffaluphagus re our discussion about KPFs and mid/forwards. You never answered the Jackson question. Is it true that you don't think he is our difference maker (that's substitutes for the lack of the KPF/mid forward)?

If so, how could you ever justify chasing that player? Leave aside we didn't know it was for pick 3,13,20 at the time and instead thought it was 13,13,30.

Let’s be frank.

Lobb leaves. Jackson presents a great opportunity to spin it.

Lobb stays. West Coast get Jackson.

Honestly for me, Meek stays, Lobb leaves, Jackson either stays season or go to West Coast.

Use all our draft capital to keep blooding youth and go after forwards. Throw some cash around.

Jackson is going to be a special player for 10 years. He’s still 21. But problem is Fremantle need it NOW. Need 35-40 goals.

Bell has to go

There is this strange phenomenon in the AFL (its not just us) where many clubs just can't say no when somebody wants to come home.

Think we can salvage JOM trade by solely playing him FWD, but I agree with you. Move over Crazy Vossy..it’s Crazy Belly.

We did the most ridiculous thing possible, we sold our first then cut mature players who were a big part of the 2022 improvement.

Griffin Logue was injured a lot, 2022 was a breakout year for him. 25 years old and 64 games experience. 20 games in 2022.

Blake Acres also a bit player, breakout year in 2022, Fremantle decide to cut him, 27 years old 110 games (45 for Freo). 20 games in 2022.

David Mundy, 16 games in 2022. 376 game player, 37 years old. Break out….

Rory Lobb, 21 games in 2022. 37 goals. Break out year. Is a knob, but lots of teams have them.

Darcy Tucker, Lloyd Meek I can live with. You can move on depth.

When you trade a future 1st you bring in as much talent as possible and retain retain retain. You want to go up the ladder not down. It’s so obvious you wonder if someone is sabotaging the club from the inside? The decision making is so ludicrous, so stupid, it’s beyond plausible to think we could let go, 4 best 22 players and think we would rise up the ladder. Who makes these dumb decisions?

I’m ok with Jackson. You can argue on the price.

the age profile of the list and him will cushion it…and he will improve.

We need a laser focus on needs now…Big bodied mid and small and medium forwards.

The coach has to go.
I don't think we need big body mids, Ras, Johnson and NOD were all drafted as that.

It's still quality forwards for me. If we actually had our pick 3-5 then it would be another KPF or an explosive mid/forward.

saw a snippet from Corbett tonight, and if that muppet keeps playing Sturt and Amiss we’ll be better off…
Freddy is ok…frustrating though.

need to replace Walters and Schultz….going all Salim here, but he was ****ing horrible last night

Should be able to get something decent with the North second. They will still be bottom 4

I'm withholding most judgements on players purely because the whole team is dog**** it is hard to tell how much is form, how much is lack of ability and how much is JL setting them up to fail.

Ratten->Lyon or Rutten->BScott is all you need to see to understand how the latter can distort the former 2.

yeah maybe. Schultz lack of a left foot, and his basic skills killed us tonight…turnovers and out on the fulls.
