Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Far out Victoria media are chasing Sean Darcy back to Victoria hard, saying he won't get a flag now at Freo.

They love picking over the scraps don't they.

I don’t think I’ve seen a player explicitly deny wanting to leave more than Darcy.

Yeah I'm not pushing him out, but if he wants to go, this is the year.

Hogan is absolutely worth that...and more.

He kicked 35 last year and has kicked 10 already this year

He'd be our best forward by the length of Ascot.

Kicked 12 goals as of yesterday. Averaging 2 goals a game. That ll be 46 goals a season at this rate.

The rucks are the least of our concerns.

Trading Darcy and/or Cox would be giving up on six year rebuild which got us into the finals last year and still sees us bottom four for age and experience. It doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Whether the midfield and forward are fixable in the next five years to the point where we can challenge remains to be seen though.

Honestly think that having a competent coach might change a lot more than the media thinks. We’re literally playing the opposite style of footy to what the supposed strengths and weaknesses of our list suggests. It’s so ****ing dumb.

I genuinely reckon it would be a Teens pick. Not often do you see a club trade a top 10 for a spec pick next year

The system is there so weak teams get strong.
Constantly trading picks will eventually weaken your hand .
Draft players in line with your lader position and just build.
It's not rocket surgery

Apart from Pavlich ,when have we been able to land goal kicking forwards in the draft ? The Eagles seem to always find them ,Kennedy, Darling ,Allen ,Lynch.
Guys that kick lots of goals.

What would he actually be worth? I was expecting Norths 2nd to hopefully be say Pick 21-22. No chance of say Pick 10 and another at least close to that? Agreed from a culture perspective.

Idk I'm not good at valuing players but I would say best case scenario is pick 7 on current form.
