Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Bell’s comments today absolutely solidify Henry is leaving. Why exactly did we get rid of Acres again?

End of the day Henry has continued largely to only 1 win in the past two years. We won’t miss him. But there was no reason to let Acres go when Henry (who wanted to leave last year) was his supposed replacement.

Henry is gone.

Darcy rumours happen every year, always linked to Geelong because he’s from there. Plus he’s a pre-agent. Still got another year. Different story to Logue, Acres, Henry etc who were all ooc. Not to mention Darcy is a top 2 player at the club and the others weren’t even b22 (except acres)

Gunston had Roughead and Hale in the same team for 2/3 premierships. In the third there was an alright forward named Franklin as well.

Even with Hale most oppositions couldn’t put their third tall defender on him without giving up 10cm. Gunston would’ve got the third best tall a lot in those flags tbh.

How's that any different to us having Jackson as a third tho?

Whilst I am sure the Crows would be keen on Cox, Redman is a flanker, not a KPP so maybe the only relevance is the saved salary.

Those are the ones where both could be considered "elite" in the last 10 years

That's 7 out of 10 years... The midfields were all outstanding in those sides as well though, which only makes good forwards look better. I'd hazard a guess that if our midfield ends up as dominant as those sides our forward line will look immensely better too...
