Position 2023 Midfielders

is 4 premos not enough in midfield? i think it helps create an even spread across the ground. the points can be made up with any of the 600k guys in defence and forward imo.

It really depends on many things but mainly having enough well scoring rookies or midpricers to cover that line.
Everyone goes about it differently so it's up to you how you go about. Personally after looking at ALL of the teams and their lists I'm not confident in the quality of Rookies this year and will be fielding on ground as few as possible come Round 1 hopefully a max of 4 but hoping for less.

All depends on where the the rookies are.

The argument for starting more mid's is they tend to be more expensive to trade in during the season so start as many as possible and trade in the cheaper fallen premo's on other lines. Boosting helps get the more expensive ones though as you have extra trades to make money.

I'm shocked to be sitting here reading that!

Not only do you love them but you seem to pick the right ones most of the time you jammy kent! :moustache:

Not just Midpricers either I do recall talking up Laird well before the season started:cool:

It’s so hard to pick Mitchell as an owner last year. Wasn’t his fault, but it was beyond painful holding him all year.
Heard a vodcast yesterday that made a lot of sense .....Titch has been brought in to win the contest and handball out to the likes of Daicos

So, this sounding quite feasible, means he'll be kicking a lot less ....but also ball-ups are reducing

Titch may still average 100 ....but unlikely to go 110+ ....doubt he'll be used in a linkman role

Also said Crisp as a consequence may end up back in DEF more ????

Titch is a master of giving it to someone under pressure so he gets it back he will still get plenty of kicks each game

Who scores more Dunkley or Titch ....can't have both, so need to decide

Because there's so much value in the FWD's ...I'm putting Dunkley / Titch in MIDS ....then I'll transfer Dunkley back FWD at some stage of the season

That's an interesting plan but surely if you start Dunkley then it would be as a Forward. But if it is for a Midfielder then Titch is better value $70k cheaper and could well end up averaging more than Dunkley anyway. There is value in the Forward line but most are big risks if your talking some of the midpricers so you really want a Gun Premo in F1 at least.

Dunkley was a 108 ave for $596 ....could go 115 this year

Titch, yes is $70K cheaper ....whats he go, 105 ? ....a lot are thinking 110 min ?

So, I have Butters, Taranto & Cameron (F1-F3) .....Am I prepared to give up the DPP of Cameron, who'll likely also be a 105 average player ....to get Titch 🤔

I don't see the appeal of starting Cameron this year after how he ended last year and we both had him. Look how he ended the year when Cox was the dominant ruckman and even this year I think they will both be sharing I don't think he will get anywhere near a 100 average.

Yep ....understand the argument you're putting fwd ....means gambling with English becoming resilient to a broken fingernail though

Give Butters the flick. Floor too low. Inflated average due to his late season burst. Not as good a player as he's made out to be.

If your that concerned about English then spend $24k more and get Witts:thumbsu:

After having Butters the previous 2 seasons - Rozee>Butters

Main thing with Cameron was late in the season he ran out of gas. Was running on empty. Another preseason you'd think will improve his endurance.

I have Dunkley and Taranto as my premo forwards. Titch at M5. Next one that interests me forward is Rozee, i think he is the better option than Butters, he'll probably be my first forward upgrade target. Butters and Heeney seem to be hot and cold and can be had on the cheap. Im going to wait and see what Cameron looks like after the first 2 rounds role/scoring wise. He could end up a must have but theres still a few unknowns with Collingwood ruck setup
