But he isn't, and missing key players is literally part of the selection criteria
How do you quantify Travis' injury except for just bcos? It's not like they've lost without him.

Measure the record, not the injury report.

No idea who the committee will screw tomorrow morning. I get the vibe It's Texas or FSU (or both for a huge screw job to bring in Georgia). Argument will be is about the best 4 teams.

1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. FSU
4. Texas

Just can’t see a reason for Alabama to be in over texas when texas beat them this year.

Results are in. FSU 5 Georgina 6 miss out.

1 Michigan
2 Washington
3 Texas
4 Alabama

The logic on FSU is that they're not the same team without Jordan Travis. Which of all the criteria is just horseshit.

The problem with a 4 team system is that it's and invitational and it's justification just slides around depending on whatever is needed to include some but exclude others.

As someone just put it on twitter, it would be akin to omitting the Eagles from the playoffs in the 16/17 season because Wentz did his ACL.
Only if W/L record (and then subsequent tiebreakers based on on-field results) were the only criteria for making the playoffs.

Because W/L record isn't the only determining factor (or else Liberty would be in over Texas too) it isn't quite as analogous.

Yes it sucks for FSU, but its not likely this outcome has no justification

If one of 3 things doesnt happen FSU make it
  • Travis doesnt get a broken leg
  • Alabama make the 4th and goal from the 31
  • Georgia choke. Missed FG after a make taken away from a false start and fumble inside the 20

Its disgusting that they put this on Travis breaking his leg

SEC PR was in full swing starting on gameday yesterday with the SEC commissioners childish comments, and then in the ACC title game it was all about discrediting FSU. no talk about Louisville being a good team and scoring over 30 a game being held to 2FGs with one being after a botched punt giving them the ball inside the 20. FSU had the 2nd best D behind Michigan this season.

If Georgia didnt choke. the 4 13-0 teams make it and Texas miss.

If we are doing the 4 best teams, then Georgia are still there and its a bigger debate with Texas, Washington, Michigan, Ohio State and Alabama fighting for the other 3.

Just shows how crap the Final 4 Playoff bracket is and has always been.

They have to fit 5 Power Conferences into 4 every year.

Should have been a minimum 8 teams playoff from the start.
It was always bad. but the loudest voices in the room were always SEC aligned.

It was never about the 4 best teams, they always tried to get the 4 most deserving and they failed on both this season.

Next year wont be any deferent. SEC will send 5 teams because people still think they are the top when really others have caught up and OoC the SEC had a losing record this season. and they have the loudest voices in the room along with ESPN being a campaign platform for them.

That's my view. Its this strange argument built on quicksand for why one team is in but not another. Georgia are a top 4 side - no doubt about it.

Disgusted by Alabama getting in. Seriously what is the point of winning all your games if they can just put a sec school with worst record in anyways. Results matter.

Will watch Notre dame bowl game this year but that’s it won’t be watching any others and way I am feeling now might be done with college football that doesn’t involve Notre dame. That’s how disgusted and angry I am by Alabama getting in.

Well bad news. they got the Sun Bowl Vs Oregon State which is on CBS

Of course they did illegal stream it is.
They were the holdup. the whole ACC bowl schedule was held up by every bowl wanting Notre Dame.
