Man the Jets are bad with Wilson, but who is there thats any better on the market?

I guess they could try and trade for a Cousins or Stafford or someone like that, Its a good enough upgrade to not throw games away. but as a 6 month rental its unlikely since Rodgers seems to think he will be back next season at the moment.

and its not something they can afford to wait till the trade deadline to do
Is it really worth them keeping all their eggs in the Rodgers or bust (Wilson) scenario?

That's putting an awful lot of faith in an aging star that's coming off a very serious injury. We didn't even really get the chance to see if he'd have been any good in NY.

Wilson clearly isn't the answer but I think they need to do something.

Its more, do they risk making Aaron angry and retire if they bring in another QB who could take them all the way with that defense.

Also they would have to renegotiate with the Packers to trade the 1st round pick.

if the QB the Jets lost to injury wasnt Aaron Rodgers or another all time great QB. There would already be a new QB in New York.

Like if it was Philip Rivers Chargers era. a really good QB, but prob not a NFL HoF QB let alone first ballot. They would of already traded for a QB who can win with the team they have.

I think they need to. Waiting around without any guarantee of Rodgers being good for next season seems a very risky strategy.

If I were a Jets fan, I'd prefer to know what I'm getting for next season.

Since I dont watch college or anything before the NFL begins, what the hell did anyone see in Zach Wilson? Ive never seen a bloke less physically capable of playing the QB role.

He had a really good pro day, and our dumb arse GM fell for it, hook line and sinker.

Read elsewhere that the Jets had inquired about Henne but were rebuffed. I don't know whether Douglas has done his job as GM and asked the Bucs about Winston or the Colts about Minshew, but Minshew was the starter for Indy today, and I bet the Bucs wouldn't be too keen to trade Winston.

Supposedly Wentz and Ryan told the Jets that they would both be interested in playing for the Jets. Ryan is an immobile statue now and he's not going to be in game shape. Wentz has managed to burn bridges at two franchises in two seasons so I bet Douglas is concerned about Wentz blowing things up.

But the Jets are already dysfunctional on offence, with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall showing their displeasure at the playcalling. The Jets are 1-2 and will be 1-3 after next week, when the Chiefs destroy them on Sunday Night Football. At that point, there's almost no reason to pay extra money to a QB, because the playoffs are basically impossible to reach, so might as well go the full tank and use the 2024 draft to find a new QB. Gets to sit behind Rodgers for a year and then takes over in 2025 when Rodgers retires. The only drawback is that it risks pissing off Hall and Garrett Wilson, who are definitely part of the future, in favour of mummy's boy Zach Wilson.

Winston is in New Orleans and played today after Carr went off injured.

saw the end of the Vikings/Chargers game.

going for that 4th and 1 should of been a sackable offence for Staley. Just got lucky that the Vikings couldnt get that last TD.

It's hard to see where the wins will come from with Chiefs, Broncos, Eagles the next 3 weeks, but 1-3 isn't terminal especially with a 17 game season.

Can they get to 10-7 to snatch a wildcard? Not with Wilson as QB.

He currently has the worst passer rating in the league, and only fields has a worse QBR.

Payton still think Hacketts coaching job was the worst ever?

Sent from my SM-S908E using Tapatalk

Was wondering that when I woke up to the score. Clearly it's all Hacketts fault 🤣

Suck a big fat dick you ******* campaigner

So Jimmy G is getting a feel for the pass rush with 4mins left in the game.

a good QB doesnt wait till junk time to get a feel for the rush.
Pretty standard.

Along with his love for throwing between the numbers, throwing receivers into danger, getting swallowed up when things breakdown and throwing at least a pick a week.

Today was a classic Jimmy G game, a few great throws and several ones that hurt the team (or potentially the best player on offense).
