His age will be an issue for teams. He has the skill, but already 25 and will miss the season or most of it because of an ACL.
which is why he will be a day 2 risk or day 3 pick.

Steve Smith's #1 WR, interestingly hes not a fan of Johnston at all, said he sees far too many things he doesnt do well that are hard to correct. Said he relies purely on his size and even then he doesnt use it to the best of his ability.

Smith is probably a better scout of WRs than Chris Simms of QBs. Whats Smith's top WR prospects past few years?

I dont think he'd really done a complete class breakdown til now, this is his first year doing his own podcast. Ive really only heard him comment on the Panthers WR draft picks in the past, I remember he said he loved DJ Moore and didnt think much of Terrace Marshall at the time they were drafted.

I'm gonna take heed of Smith's favorites

Its not alot of starts for Richardson now that know that i am more concerned about it lack of starts. Trey lance missed a whole season due to covid and still started more games than richardson.

Its a bad sign of protracted development in the NFL and likelihood of not amounting to much

:eekv1:...shocked, truly shocked

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Bears are "leaning toward" trading the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Bears, per Schefter, have been approached by several teams about the draft's top pick. Such teams likely include QB-desperate teams looking to land Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud. With Justin Fields under center, the Bears have every reason to part with the first pick and use it to improve one of the league's worst overall rosters. It appears the Bears are committed to Fields after a sophomore season in which he fell just short of the all-time quarterback rushing yardage mark.

NBC Sports' Peter King reports an NFL evaluator said Florida QB Anthony Richardson has the "best upside" of any quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft, but will require patience.

The source, per King, works for a team that is unlikely to draft a quarterback this year. There remains a real chance, barring setbacks at the NFL Combine, that Richardson could be the first or second quarterback off the draft board this year, even as a deeply polarizing player who struggled mightily as a passer in 2022. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported last week that NFL team have draft grades on Richardson ranging from the first round to the fourth round. If a team takes Richardson in the first round, they're unlikely to hand him the Week 1 starting job this season.

He is just so raw 13 games started and only 53% completion percentage. Which ever gm/coach drafts him is either going to look like a genius in 2 years or unemployed. He is that boom or bust for me.

nek minnut McShay says the Bears should trade Fields and draft Young at #1 ... talk about having a bet each way

McShay in this video "I think Bryce Young is special, hes a smaller version of Patrick Mahomes"

Help if young was willing to work out at combine but according to reports his leaving it to pro day might not even do weight and height I hear at combine.

His historical small thou and if he goes one he starts on a bad team can’t see how he survives a season at 180 pounds 5 10 in nfl on bad team

If McShay thinks hes special and a team should take him at #1 he cant be that terrified.

Either McShay is an each way punter or Don Klieman is talking utter shit and misquoting him.

Problem with McShay is he just goes by what he sees in college action or the surface hype/perception of a player. He doesn't risk his evaluations by trying to project how players might actually be like stepping into the NFL.

Daniel Jeremiah on the other hand does cut thru all that and try to assess how they might be in the NFL, what roles or ways they be used, areas they might struggle in, etc

Yep.
Trubisky vibez for me

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team is not "philosophically opposed" to taking a running back in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Jones, the son of team owner Jerry, said a running back selection depends on which part of the first round. “If you’re taking a player in the top half, you’re hoping you’ve got a player who is going to be here for 10 years," he said in an interview at the NFL Combine. Adding a first-round back to a backfield with superstar Tony Pollard and highly-paid Ezekiel Elliott would be a curious move for Dallas. The Jones family loves their running backs though, and generational prospect Bijan Robinson could be too much to resist for Jerry and Stephen in the first round of the 2023 draft. Such a scenario would make the Cowboys backfield among the most indecipherable in recent fantasy history.
