As a bears fan I’ve warmed to the trade. I actually have some faith in Ryan Poles which is a rarity for me after the way they’ve been run

It’s a good trade from a Bears perspective. You get a top WR plus lots of draft picks. You can easily bring in another WR and help Fields to be a better passer.

Use the picks on defenders and focus money on the offence.

True, and if we can actually acquire a few decent free agents with the large cap space the bears have they can start being competitive at least

Bears need to stay at pick 9 now and add the best O lineman available.

Have good offensive options and dual threat QB. Operation O line needs to be in full force now.

What looks like a rinsing now may not be in 9-12 months time...

If we get a top 10 franchise QB from pick 1 we got a bargain.
We are In a winnable division where 7-10/8-9 has you a chance for a home playoff game. The Bears picks next year could easily be ~20th.

Depends on what you do in free agency. Because so far all you've done is trade away your two best offensive players and a shit ton of draft capital to take a flyer on a a draft class without a clear number 1.

Might work out in the long run with whoever you take but I can't see how it gets better for you this year. That first looks good for the Bears next year

I dont disagree that its a clear win for the Bears right now, just saying, it could easily look a lot worse by the end of next season.

Even with no proper WR1, if we get some bandaid solutions in FA there is no reason why the Panthers cant win the division next year now that the oline is sorted. I think we finish 2nd at worst. Even if the offense is below average our defense has plenty of quality young pieces and we've got an excellent DC in Evero.. If we traded for Hopkins I think we win the NFC South by 2 games.
