Are we at risk of becoming the next GWS with this group?

A list with all the talent in the world, but a structure and game plan that doesn’t get the very best out of them…

This is not a sack Voss wack and is not based on just tonight, we have been poor since the half way point of last year…

Its not just the talent on the list. Its whether the talent is complementary. I think we have too many of the same type of players. And we lack others which are vital. Perhaps there is a coaching issue too because we seem to lack a system or brand this year. However this might be because we simply don't have the right mix of players to compete at the top end. More skill and speed

That’s been coming from a number of weeks.

Game plan isn’t working. Forward 50 is a huge problem.

So many problem players. Ed needs to be a VFL only player. Fisher needs a spell. Honey just doesn’t have it either sadly.

Our bottom end is just not good enough to take us where we want to go.

Ed despite his ball use was one of only 3 or 4 players out there for us who actually gave a s**t.

I said in the preview that this was a danger game and losing shows we don’t have top 4 potential… I stand by it.

We were off today and I won’t discount that but Cerra/Kennedy at halfback didn’t work, Laird, Dawson and Keays again just cut us up. Matthew Nicks

There such a monumental psyche issue with this current crop, not sure how we fix it, but it’s blindingly obvious for all to see.

Think injuries are taking their toll and a few have gone in underdone (Hewett, Kennedy).

I like our list overall. It's good enough to compete with the best, well balanced also.

Issue for me is the coaching. He's motivating them fine, efforts not the issue. It's this bs short kicking game around the boundary we keep going to.

We desperately need to put some speed into Plan A.

Had no answers all night. Folded under pressure.

Kennedy to the backline makes no sense to me at all. I understand why Plow had to play tonight but I can’t see any way he should be there again next week.

For a team with as many exciting players as ours, we play a mighty dour game style. Slow, wide and high, a defenders dream.

Not season over by any means but there’s been something a little off in every game this year and it’s now been exposed in a huge way. There’s enough evidence available to us to see that the way we seem to want to play will not stand up against good sides.

No need to throw the baby out with the bath water just yet but I’m expecting a very different Carlton next week

Let me put it this way. We cannot win all games without form running into it. We lucked out of playing Adelaide at home, and in Adelaide they're a 5 goal better team. Tonight, they were the better side; the margin comes down entirely to the degree to which they were better on the day.

One wonders how we lose players as often as we do. One hopes it eventially gets fixed; if it doesn't, one is watching keenly to see how we plan to win a flag losing our ruckman, our intercept defender and/or allsorted other rubbish.

So much for the expectation of having all of Cripps, Walsh, Cerra, Kennedy and Hewett playing together. They got pantsed in the middle.

1.5 did well, Walsh was reasonable and cerra was probably our best in the second quarter.

Crows killed us, but so did the AFL. The Crows and Power get gifted another home game, while 14 other teams get neutral venue games. Us and the Bulldogs get away games.
