It's not like we played a home game in SA spare a thought for GWS who lose a home game to the worst team in the comp.
Maybe we need to have gather round in Vic next year and play Adelaide as their home game maybe that will even the ledger for how unfair it is. šŸ˜›
GWS still have 11 home games. While they were listed as the home team they didn't lose a home game.

Maybe FFS youā€™d like to get on a plane and travel every 2nd week mateā€¦.

Or have a genuine home ground advantage 11 times a year?
(With the extra "gather" round).

Or play a block of 4 games in a row (including 3 against interstate sides) at our genuine home ground?
Or play 5 out of our first seven at our home ground?

Rather take that than the taxing 30 min flight to Melbs 3-4 times a year...

But we don't always get what we want.

If you want to play every game in SA... there's always the SANFL.

Apart from Walsh getting through the match unscathed, and Hollands continually impressing, the rest is very underwhelming.
Big task next week, how we respond next week will be telling of where we are at as a club hoping to play finals.

If we just keep bombing it on Charlie and Harry's heads again next week, Wilkie is going to have a field day.

The gather round played 7 games at neutral venues...

So GWS have 11 games at home and a further 1 at a neutral venue?

Adelaide/Port have 2 games against each other (neutral venue) and 10 games with a clear and valuable home ground advantage.
Adelaide and Port also have a further "away game" at neutral venues this year.

the next step is to control the game, (or play not to lose as you put it), take the sting out of the game but kick those two goals ourselves.
We could even use this game as an example. The Crows had a 25 point lead in the 4th qtr then absolutely put the foot down and blew us off the park. Didn't even give us a chance to think about having a sniff.

What we do with a ~4 goal lead in the 4th is the polar opposite...

Can tell you if the players are as worried as you lot about home grounds +- one we are well and truly ****ed.

One of the boons of being a big club is attracting players to play in front of big crowds. It's said as nauseum by new recruits and existing players. We still come out on top with big game experience compared to the others.

Such a waste of blood pressure.

Look if I had to live in Adelaide for most of the year (the world's second most toxic region after Chernobyl) I would be pretty bitter and whiny too :)

No other choiceā€¦we donā€™t know how to do any other way

It's our s**t ball movement at the moment, it's so slow it allows their defence to get numbers back to clog up space and double/triple team our two keys. There's no space for leads so just throw it in there and hope.

Adelaide made an art of it on Thursday night.

its also that our entries are not a deliberate pin point passes to one of our forwards. Crows passes were directed at a leading player and deadly accurate...low and spearing passes that don't have hang time that allow defenders some extra time.

we literally kick to somewhere where there is a pack situation and where our two roosters are.

Yeah do recall a nice one to Walker, think it was Dawson who threaded the needle. I thought Cez was our go to guy for that but no he's having stints at half back.

Given our mids as a unit aren't the best field kicks we have to rely on our half backs but 3 of our 4 good kicking half backs are injured.

Think Ed needs to come out now that Walsh is back, lets get back to the mid rotations we had in the first half of last year before injury hit.

except we kicked the first two of the 4th and burnt another 2, made a couple of errors etc and gave one straight back.

then they put the foot down After the sting was goneā€¦
