Autopsy 2023 Rd 6 Misfiring Blues drop their bundle again

Anyone who blames Voss for this loss or worse wants him fired is a bum.

The game plan was perfectly fine up until the half time.

I accuse the playing group (except.the kids like Jesse and Ollie obviously and First Gamer Cincy) of being big headed, lazy and complacent in that second half, and they need a bloody good hard look at themselves.

The playing group culture at this club stinks, and has probably ever since Parko retired and handed the reigns to Britts.

We cannot afford to keep changing coaches every 3 years or so.

Let's back Voss the Boss in and let him turn this mediocre culture around.

McKay, Silvagni, Newman, Fisher and co done some ridiculous stuff today and often do it.

So the coaches should be working that into their frameworks.

The saints had 15 players last year that people said the same about. INCLUDING MASON ******* WOOD. It's all coaching.

We're horrifically slow, our skills are disgraceful, we panic and have an extremely low iq group of players, no system going inside 50 at all, ability to stop opposition transition is crap, fwds arent great, backs look a shadow of themselves.

We've absolutely regressed but we've also got a void that hasnt been filled from Dow Honey Philp LoB Kemp Stocker Cuningham players that we've either got nothing from or havent got anywhere near the level required.

Small forwards. If our strategy is to just repeatedly bomb it long to our two tall forwards. Then why the f* are the smalls at their feet crumbing. Only one goal all game from crumbing by durds. Otherwise they were missing all game.

Game style. Voss. Sort it out real f*ing quick. We are tired sick and tired of no plan B or C. Aints made one key change to the mid from defence and changed the game. Why can’t we?

We sit 7th on the ladder but for how long. The game style does not inspire belief or confidence moving forward.

The personnel is fine. The core group of players are very good.

We need to change the game plan. It’s dreadful.

It’s so slow. Barely gives the forwards a chance. The F50 is always too crowded and takes a difficult contested mark to have a scoring shot.

We have completely stopped with 45 kicks and barley if ever use the corridor.

You cant change the gameplan almost qtr way through the season. Theyve been training this the whole season. They are ****ed. Another wasted season it seems like

Saints are a pretty organised unit, just wouldn’t let us through.

When we did, poor skills had it coming straight back out.

Backs tried (liked Cincotta), mids racked up cricket stats, forwards a dogs breakfast.

Not much else positive to add.

Do you think they should get negative stats for going backwards?

I love Walshy, but he missed many taargets today, and he was not Robinson Crusoe

Because we hired dregs.

We were hiring well after the decent coaches had been snapped up and we ended up with the uninspiring left overs.

Just garbage. Kicking is still awful, our smalls couldn’t crumb a schnitzel, no defensive pressure in the forward half. Game plan is no good. Prioritise pressure forwards, a medium forward and a mid/forward with pace. Big clean out still needed.

Further off than we all thought. Disappointing

We are slow and predictable, we don’t take our chances, we let the opposition out of their defensive 50 with zero pressure, our small forwards are clueless to the drop of the ball, we cannot stick a tackle to save our lives, our link up play is abysmal, we let the opposition set up behind the play the way they want, zero quick ball movement, we cannot execute under pressure, we cannot find space and so get in each other’s way in congestion, we have no flair or finesse, our coach mollycoddles the players, we keep on giving LOB chances to do f’all, our forward 50 entries and the leading of our 2 that’s right 2 Coleman medalists is mediocre at best and the IQ of a peanut at worst, we literally have more than enough cattle but we play like an under 7 foot side, get ball kick or hand pass to no body.

Ross the boss comes in and turns this ******* rabble into a well disciplined, cohesive, super fit running side in one ******* off season! Even with all their injuries! Voss has had two preseasons and has gone backwards. We are a ******* Joke!

Voss is a concern. If he thinks Kennedy can play half back on Butler then it is time to genuinely question the direction he is taking the team.

Again, the club over rates the list. They appointed him because they thought good assistants and his passion would over be enough for this list. What a joke. Now they are stuck because we can’t sack another coach.

Baffling decision to go the way we did but too late now to change. We need to get him help.

Ross the boss got Stkilda flying, AND they are missing the KING boy. Imagine us without Charlie.

Very very disappointing. Why would you play slow with two of the best key forwards in the league. Why is our forward line so bad? Why do they keep missing goals from directly in front. What the hell are the coaches telling the players?

Disaster in the making here. Needs to be sorted out FAST.

Any game we win is by less than 10 points. This game plan is ****ed! Horrific in all facets

Extremely slow and mostly pea-hearted team. Move on one of our big mids and get some run and carry into our midfield please. Defensively and offensively we just plod around aimlessly.

We'd rather concede 50-100 metres kicking back wards instead of trying to take the opposition on.
