I'm not going to get excited about a goal or some junk time highlights
They are rarely front and centre
They never cause a turnover/HTB
They rarely get separation
Tonight, we played with about 10 men cause most of our midfield were absolute trash...yes folks, the same stellar midfield that Dow can't break into...the same midfield that contains our captain having a laugh after the game and the same midfield who were embarrassed by not only the Lions, but embarrassed by Kennedy's output in the last qtr

My old man grew up in Sth Melbourne, and was a died in the wool Blood. Born in '38, he never saw a premiership in his 70 years. I made the very fortuatous decision to follow the only footballer I'd ever heard of to follow Barrassi to Carlton in '65. 8 flags later.....

It’s sad for anyone who is passionate about a club to never see a premiership in their lifetime.

I remember when this rebuild started, being understanding of the losses. I would always tell my dad who fired up over every mistake that it would turn soon. Here I am almost a decade later watching the same mistakes and sounding just like my dad.

I’m envious of anyone who has even seen the blues in a losing grand final.

Young, Weitering, Newman, Ed, Cripps... many others..

The gall of Cripps to start laughing as soon as the game was over too... you'd think the *en captain of the club would be hurting with that result.

He's a comfortable, multi-millionaire 20 something and it shows. A shocking loss that helps to further derail our season and our captain is having a good laugh about it. Says everything - about him & the club. We have no leaders.

As a supporter you can't help but sense that we are being led by a handful of comfortable millionaires. Cripps, McKay, Weiters etc...absolutely no backbone. None. This team has no toughness; either mental OR physical. We are destined for another year outside the 8. Something is seriously wrong with this group.

You do realise we have overpaid players to the max. We have a list that is ageing fast and wont get any quicker and smarter. We have 10 to 15 players on oour list who wouldnt get a game at any top 8 team. Unless we money ball. we arent going anywhere and when tassie comes in these guys will leave is for free agency

Weitering has been below average since he busted his shoulder vs the Pies. Creeping closer and closer to being a liability this season. Those lazy kicks he does s**t me to tears.

So far off the superstar he once was.

An that damage he did to himself. He ran from the backline up into the midfield in the opening minutes to try an take out DeGoey and came off second best. Just a dumb act by Weiters an hasn't been back to his AA best since.

That was crap.
As poor as Fish has been, I feel he would've given more than Honey.
Love Ed, but I just don't see what he brings. Kennedy would've given more, and nearly did in less than a third of the game time Ed played.
Subbing Young off seemed weird.
Our decision making is terrible.
What do we do when Cripps can't impact the game? Similarly with Harry and Charlie?

Our best players are Cerra and Cincotta.
Our players who try the hardest both ways are Hollands and again, Cincotta.
We look better when we take the game on. Playing on, taking the risky kick and moving the ball fast.
We look our worst when we bomb long down the line to contests.
Which one do you think we seem to do more of?

We have 0 depth. We have 0 plan B. A 1 paced midfield who are generally average ball users at best.

Pitto’s ruckwork was poor tonight, didn’t see too many taps to our advantage. Maybe our midfielders were out of touch and out of position which didn’t help…but the connection between ruck and midfield players just wasn’t there.

The amount of clear taps in stoppages around the ground to whole swathes of Lions was pretty mind-boggling

They were good tonight and not the problem at all. 4 goals and 6 tackles inside 50 between Durdin and Motlop

Wow, I couldnt agree less. H is pretty good at 2nd efforts at ground level for a bloke who is 27ft tall. Probably the best tackler at the club.
