Squiggle tips Hawks at 66% chance -- What's your tip? -- Injury Lists » -- All Rd 12 Games
Meek? He'd be behind a few at hawks. He had the luxury of playing at freo whenever Darcy was injured. He has Reeves, Kozi & Lynch to contend with.Roma & Meek atm for me

I'm going Darcy and Cameron. Make a decision on R2 down the track and bring in whoever is performing.Last year, like everyone I spent far too many trades on the ruck line, most of it unavoidable, and I’m hoping to not repeat that.
Looking at the potentially top two scoring rucks:
English - can be concussed by a strong breeze, and really struggled on return last season.
Darcy - injury prone.
Nic-Nat - injury prone.
Grundy - don’t get the hype, he’s been on the decline the last few years, I find it hard to believe going from solo ruck to sharing with the best ruck in the league is going to lead to elite scoring.
Marshall - if he has the role and is fit sign me up, but I feel like we’ve been saying that for two years.
Leaves me with Gawn and Witts basically, I think they are both overpriced, but I also think they’re likely set and forget, do I just bite the bullet and go with them?
Looking Fit & Lean ...
Esava is 170k would be a decent chanceSpeaking of loops (in the other thread), are there any rookie priced rucks likely to play? I was expecting Comben, so is there anyone else or is a $102k F/R donut the play?
Doesn't he suck though? Is he actually going to play?Esava is 170k would be a decent chance
He ended last year playing kpd in the reserves. If he plays that he would be an ok pick. I think it the year for a loop r3.Doesn't he suck though? Is he actually going to play?
West AdelaideNah ....the tweet of Darcy was still there after I posted it ....I understand there's some issues around media following the upgrade this morning ....so media has probably been turned offYou forget an attachment/photo in your old age mate?
Darcy and Marshall for me at this stage.Last year, like everyone I spent far too many trades on the ruck line, most of it unavoidable, and I’m hoping to not repeat that.

Went back and looked at the numbers and seems you’re right. For some reason I seem to remember heaps of injury effected low scores. Will revisit him.Darcy and Marshall for me at this stage.
Why do you say Darcy is injury prone?
He was out for three nonconsecutive games last season, one the year before. So 4 games missed across two years.
That's practically indestructible compared to English (16 matches played in 2022), NicNat (8), and Grundy (6).
Hodor's problem is Luke Jackson.Went back and looked at the numbers and seems you’re right. For some reason I seem to remember heaps of injury effected low scores. Will revisit him.
i honestly dont think jacko will impact darcy, the same with grundy and gawn. if anything, their scoring may improve. i see grundy being in a better side seeing his scoring improve. darcy with jackson to chop out with the ruck work but still being the clear #1 should see him have a bit more freedom.Hodor's problem is Luke Jackson.
Jackson is best around the ball, Hodor is reasonable (for a ruck) up forward. Can see them swapping a bit.i honestly dont think jacko will impact darcy, the same with grundy and gawn. if anything, their scoring may improve. i see grundy being in a better side seeing his scoring improve. darcy with jackson to chop out with the ruck work but still being the clear #1 should see him have a bit more freedom.
grundy is still only 28 and one of the best rucks in the comp.. i think gawn essentially takes the jackson support role and brodie is #1don't see why they would pay for Grundy otherwise.
Yeah, but Gawn has been the best ruck for the last 5 years.grundy is still only 28 and one of the best rucks in the comp.. i think gawn essentially takes the jackson support role and brodie is #1
i think its more this to be honest. gawn is a ruck forward. grundy is like a ruck midfielder.. theyre gonna be deadly to come up against.I still think Gawn must be injured, or at least not wanting to play first ruck

West AdelaideCan Gawn & Grundy both play on the ball at the same time ....ala BlicavsYeah, but Gawn has been the best ruck for the last 5 years.
Blicavs has the running ability of a wingman though. He has a very unique set of attributes that mean Geelong have the luxury to do that, I’d be very surprised if it worked with the Grundy/Gawn combination. Can Gawn & Grundy both play on the ball at the same time ....ala Blicavs
This is the suggestion of how FREO will use Jackson
