In addition.

After going through lots of our games a couple of notes.

1) Couple of unsung heroes
Josh Battle and Ronnie Byrnes. They both made a massive difference to us. Countless times Battle's intercepting and hard running saved us.
Byrnes - It is obvious to see why Ross loves him. He cuts angles, is always moving and tries to make things happans. In addition, his defensive running is elite. There were countless times when he would be running back into defence and taking intercept marks.

2) Jack Sinclair imo is better then Daicos, his body work is criminally underated and their is no calmer presence then him.

3) We need to find a way for Hunter Cark to get 30 touches a games. When he gets it good things happan. Simmilar to Sincs, he is elite with his body work and multiple times he would outbody someone then hit u someone on his left.

4) Nas is a legit 150 gamethe way he plays. Ross moving him to half back was genius and would love to see him run on the ball at some stage.

5) One for the coaches, previously, we had been critical of them not playing the young players on the ball but props to ross more so then any other coach since GT he gave lots of time for Windy, Pou and Chito to spend time on the ball. Every extra stoppage they attend is only going to serve them well.

6) Simmilar to Clark we are much better wth Coops in the team Peronally think he offeres a lot more skill then all other forwards and his ability to break the game open wth a hanger is underated. Just keep persisting.

A core of Chito King, Nas and Pou is seriously something to build on. Marshal sinclair ans steele will help them along

I think clarkes will surprise a few, he’s a very highlight type of player in what I’ve seen so far.

I think that's the issue, he's very good at times but has a few serious flaws in his game that may not be something that is fixable. Lack of speed on the counter is the antithesis to Lyon's game and low production and time on ground mean he has to be carried by others. He has to make himself so good that he's worth the sacrifice or work on his flaws. Hopefully something clicks for him and he puts in a massive preseason and comes back ready to attack next season.

I'm hoping Clark can be like Clayton Oliver (on field) and build the mental capacity to cover the ground.
We used to be Melbourne under Richo because we were an effort team and ran both ways. Oliver only ran one way.
Oliver still doesn't look like an athlete especially but he wills himself across the ground.
Clark has has skills, hardness etc. Needs to be at more contests. You can jog to those. Maybe Harvs can teach him some tricks about 'being there' as well?

It’s quite interesting to see some of the strengths /weaknesses up close. Ie Sharman for a forward is stupidly clean and skillful.

NAS’s ability run from one contest to the next is a work of art. I reckon his repeat 100/200 sprints would be right up there.

Battle and wood saved as that many times especially wood.

Butler as well, some of his finnishing was elite.
