agreed i expect minimal turnover from here on
stability will now be the key and watching the group grow together over the next few years

That maybe the case but no one who makes drafting decisions is still at the club. Actually no one who makes any real decisions at the club is still around.

It's entirely speculative on my part, but the list management strategy next year might well switch to trading out high picks (incl the 2025 F1) for quality players to fill specific list needs (similar to Brisbane with Neale, Cameron, Daniher). If things go well this draft, we'll have banked enough elite young talent, and can look to the next phase.

With the amount of first round/elite talent on the list I can see us getting into a GWS salary dump situation which could lead to a few of our stars getting poached as we end up not being able to pay everyone what they're worth.

Not sure I'd call them necessarily plodders but do agree they had a fair few similar hb type players hence tried bonner on a wing.... Farrell, Bergman, Williams, burton, Byrne Jones who they moved fwd for same reason

Not yet but we've got quite a few of our best 22 hitting that early to mid age bracket when contracts start coming from other clubs.

Going to be hard to break into the side next year, let alone our forward line.

Yep our MSD picks have been horrible. We would be better off putting 100 players names into a random list generator and letting that pick for us.

I've very nearly ruled him out. For every Kozzie Pickett there are two and a half Phoenix Spicers. Blokes that can play footy but who stick out at the very top level as too small, timid and ineffectual. I hope to God he proves me wrong. campaigner's the only traditional small forward on the list

Its a real shame Spice just didn’t go hard at a contest. If you combined Spicer and Turner you’d have some sort of player

You’re also saying it could be a top 3 pick.

If we are garbage again, it could land them a pick inside 3 for next year.

We’ve won 5 games in two years.

To get pick 8 we’d need to finish in 11th.

This year 11th had 11 wins.

An additional 8 wins to this year is incredibly optimistic.

Not unheard of but it would be a big bet from our historically conservative FD.
