I think there's three reasons why he doesn't get many games - Cripps, Cerra, Walsh.Yep there is a clear reason why he doesn’t get games
I think Sinclair would play for most other clubs.
According to the B&F votes of the good people round these parts, our clear best 8 players this season have been Crouch, Sinclair, NWM, Wilkie, Marshall, Steele, Wood and Owens. Wood might struggle on some lists. You could mount an argument Wilkie may not get a game at Melbourne when all fit. Marshall would have to play forward/ruck on some teams. But the older six out of these eight plus King would probably get a game at every club.
He covers the most distance on the ground, elite skills, and tries his hardest. That’s the foundations of a future AA playerId have to ask the question do you watch games thinking Byrnes could be AA
The point i was making the list is far better now that it was yet will still have the same issues

Yeah I get that. But there’s no point having speed if you can’t even win the footy. But we lack speed in the midfield. Very one-paced. Not sure he helps us in that area.
But yes, he can play. Very well.
He may run up and back but it would be better if he had the ball in hand , just for reference on the weekend he gained 250mtrs which is pretty poor for the position he plays and normally without an opponent , Yes Mason didn't have his kicking boot on yet he still gained 773mrts .He covers the most distance on the ground, elite skills, and tries his hardest. That’s the foundations of a future AA player
What’s the harm in bringing them in for nothing though? That’s my point.I think he’s the opposite of what we need. Another slow moving crab. We have to stop bringing in mediocre older guys. Kids kids and kids.
De Koning getting plenty of praise in the media today.
Will be interesting to see how he performs in the next 24 months.
Getting praise for what exactly. Playing better than he normally does?De Koning getting plenty of praise in the media today.

can't believe I just read a comment complaining about us struggling to score over 70 when our forward line has been 3 teenagers for 80% of the season.
I'm pretty worried by the time that we eventually/ever draft some talented midfielders and work on that department - it's going to be the same time we say goodbye to our key players i.e Steele, Sincs, Hill, Wilkie, Wood and we'll be stuck in the same cycle of mediocrity. A horrible position to be in.

He's crap. Had an ok game with some lucky snap goals out of congestion. Not even close to anything you could label as reliably good.No-one on here rated him. Goes to show what this forum thinks of ruckmen.
Not what I saw yesterday, that booming left boot... almost as good as Acres right boot.

Anyone? More mediocre plays and stuck in this wheel spin forever?I dare say Flanders will attract better looking clubs than ours by seasons end, hopefully we pull this off. Get Dow too, get anyone!
That's the conundrum we're in and why they're draft focused still. The older players have 4 to 5 years left in them and the youth crop need to be peaking by then with a bunch underneath them to fill the void afterwards. Hill and Sincs can go for a while yet and the rest are still only 27/28.I'm pretty worried by the time that we eventually/ever draft some talented midfielders and work on that department - it's going to be the same time we say goodbye to our key players i.e Steele, Sincs, Hill, Wilkie, Wood and we'll be stuck in the same cycle of mediocrity. How would Grundy help? Another average player that won't make us better.Lets start with Grundy from Melbourne. Pay him what he is worth.
Was hoping for a Hail Mary offer to TDK, but that window has passed now.
Better than Longer, Hickey, Pierce, Holmes, Abacus, that guy from Geelong and that guy from SANFL isn't saying much. He's crap.Other than Marshall and Ryder, I would rate him better than any ruckman we have had over the last 10 years.
Who sent Acres packing as steak knives was it the banker Gallaher?
