Reckon we'll see the AFL give Norf a package on the proviso that Weagles are happy with what they get to trade pick 1 to Norf.

Weagles are the biggest team in the comp, the AFL don't want them down for too long. They also want Norf off the drip and they don't want another JHF scenario.

Norf don't really lose a pick with the trade either because they get a free his at Sanders.

Would love someone to run the sums and see how many games Norf have won in the last decade compared to us. No free hit for McKenzie for us or any package coming our way despite losing a #1 pick for nothing.

For Dusty:
G Ablett Jnr Marketing package.
Hardwick as coach.
Fed up with Melbourne.
Nothing left to prove at Richmond.
Hardwick giving his blessing earlier in the year for a Dusty move saying he owes the Tigers nothing.
I can understand why Dusty might like the move.

As for the Suns, they would be absolutely all over it.
Marketing allowance paid by the AFL outside the salary cap.
Dusty might be on $2mill if your $1.5mill is correct and given past history of the AFL paying players outside the cap to stay up there (see B King).
They’d use him in exactly the same way as G Ablett and the Swans with T Lockett.
You needn’t look too far for precedent.

Access to Sanders is just a sham and we should totally lose our shit on draft night .

North have not been involved in his development.
It does not help development of kids under special circumstances to "gift" them to clubs of the AFL's choosing as some sort of bullshit reward for being crap.

Yeah it’s absolutely ****ed. We had to get absolute scraps in compromised drafts when we were at the bottom and then to add salt to the wound we lost our number 1 pick effectively due to concussion after 4 years on the list.

Not only that, but when the AFL finally give access to Academy players, it’s taken away from us with regard to McKenzie after teams that recently played in GF’s in Bulldogs and Collingwood got to benefit with JUH & Quaynor respectively.

How bout giving us a little bit of ****ing assistance for once?

North ended up doing better out of losing JHF, cos now they have Sheezel and Wardlaw who will both be guns on top of LDU and Will Phillips.

They received assistance last year. If they get access to Sanders or any other form of assistance then the AFL is an absolute shit show!
