GWS are planning to trade us Tom Green for Leo Connolly, they think Leo still has upside while Green has topped out at elite

He was better when he got out of the forward line, we tried sending him up to help the mids and he looked better. The forwards were well held but he's definitely replaceable if a better player comes along.

I'd look at Box Hill's Jake Arundel. I think the Hawks have kept him hidden.

The same guy that told me Hardwick had quit before it broke has also said he believes Gresham is Tigers bound. FWIW, I didn't believe him then and I dont believe him now.

Makes sense in alot of ways though, as mentioned above we have no trade capital so taking FA's that improve the 22 is the best chance to improve in 2024

If you were to trade Steele, you'd do it to get a younger replacement in the door.
The principle is OK.
Trouble is, that replacement doesn't seem to be here this year , either in the draft or on the trade table.

Owens Windhager and Phillipou + whatever we draft… irrespective of their potential


Are unproven as genuine AFL mids, I.e players who are predominantly played as midfielders at this level.

No doubt we are worse without Steele. Just don't think it is an absolutely calamity.

Move Sincs into midfield full time. Natural improvement from Owens, Windhager & Pou. Bring in someone like Dow, not sure the midfield is that much worse than last year.

That being said, if Crouch goes down we would be pretty exposed.

Would have to be a bloody good deal, but Steele is not untouchable IMO.

By the way , trading all these picks for gold coasts pick 4 . We might as well just say the player at pick 4 . So who is the player? Lets not beat around the bush.
