Fletcher has natural footy smarts, and has the skills. Gives me hope that our team is in a good place going in to the future.
Jaspa, Will and Levi through father/son are godsends given we would probably have had no chance of getting them in an open draft given our ladder position and their draft rating.... all we need now over the next season or two is a couple of highly rated talls at either end of the ground to come through the academy*

Yeah watching that clip, he was both working harder than everyone else running into the 50 and also ran to the right spots to get the ball in a good position. Given the wings is still a spot with a lot of week to week change in the side, there's a spot or two up for grabs.

At least Sandringham starts at 11am, and with all the gun players lining up for the AFL academy game (at Mt Barker after the Lions game), Levi Ashcroft looks set to play significant midfield minutes tomorrow.
*Imagine the that, the Lions v North is the curtain raiser game for an U18 game.
