Emotional NHL draft. Can see how much it meant to these kids

Schaeffer looks a beauty.

With Misa, Think the sharks will be scary in 3 to 5 years. If they get the defense right look like they will be contending for championships.

Hagens slipping to the Bruins at 7 makes him a good watch.
Yeah our forward depth is great now. Wish we had Schaeffer instead though. Our D is improving, already better than a few play off teams from last year, just need Askarov healthy and improved front end.

Wouldn’t have minded being a “fly on the wall” during Buffalo’s draft day preparation meeting:
“Some teams are bringing out celebrities to announce the team’s pick. Who should we get?”
Silence…
“How about a couple of members of the “big in the 90s” middle of the road, bland band known as The GooGoo Dolls?”
“Yeah, that’ll do!”

Quiet day for Montreal’s scouting staff.
That backend is looking very promising.
Thought Winnipeg was a bit weird. Please welcome our 'other goalie'

Master-class by Bill Zito to resign Bennett, Ekblad and Marchand for 20m combined.

Hate Marner in Vegas, but it's a great deal. Looks like Pietrangelo will be on the LTIR for the year
Surprised Vegas still has room in their cap somehow... Seem to be like the yankees, neverending list of stars turning up to play.

And chasing Rasmus Andersson as well (although only 4mil for first year).

Piet retiring will help, but they got absolutely cleaned by the oilers

i didn't know anyone was using nhl.tv. how much did it cost per year?

Now that Disney+ offers the ESPN offerings, that can just be used. previously you could use ESPN via Fetch or Foxtel but the Disney+ option is easier with much better app support, and if you're interested in some of their other offerings it works out nicely

on a similar note though, it was recently announced that Fanatics (US) lost their appeal regarding their trademark fight with Fanatics (AUS). so any NHL jerseys still need to be purchased via the individual team stores, etc.

I think I was paying $22/month, and then I would cancel it for the few months of offseason.

Do the ESPN streams on Disney+ have home and away broadcasts? My understanding was that Aus ESPN only shows a few NHL games a week, and only the national ESPN broadcasts. At least I'm pretty sure that's the offering on Kayo.

During the regular season, ESPN+ would usually offer home and away feeds although they would be the odd strange case of only a home or national feed every now and then. broadcasting of the intermission segments would tend to be incredibly inconsistent, and come playoffs time, they take the US feed (ESPN or TNT) and not the Canadian feed which would be annoying (mainly because it seemed the crowd audio on the US feeds was turned down).

When ESPN+ was integrated into Disney+ earlier this year, every game was available through the App, no real dramas.
