Sorry I forgot to add Barrett highly unlikely to get drafted and you haven't included Tom Luck who is clearly in the top 3-4 from SA

hahahah Haggas did you not read what I wrote about these SA kids?

I think they've read it, they probably just don't value your opinion.
Well I guess it will have to be bookmarked and we shall see whether the Athlete is right or not. He will be. The Athlete knows!! But just so you know it't not a guess that turns out right here is why.

Welsh is 192 and doesn't look like he will grow any more. That's enough for someone who is only a KF to know he won't go really high but here's so more for learnings sake. He is very quick and has really good hands but at this stage has nothing else to his game. He has so far dominated kids due to his size and power difference but like always happens with early developers he will come back to the pack by next year. In fact he already has. Then he will be a mid draft prospect.

Barrett way too small for someone who doesn't have any legitimate power and is no where near clean enough a la Caleb Daniel.

Phoenix Hargrave I loved last year but am genuinely concerned about this speed and power. He is extremely polished and an early developer but he is not going to be a marking threat in the forward line at the next level like his is now (cause just bigger through the body than other kids). Also not sure about his endurance as a pure mid. I could be wrong about this kid as he has a lot of talent but I just think like most kids who are such early developers he will come right back to the pack.

I agree Herbert looks good, but I'm not sure on Luck, Nicholls or Montgomery at this stage, I'm basing this a lot on the u16 champs, so it's not accounting for development, it's a work in progress, but thanx for your feedback.

You could be right on Welsh, but he looks a fantastic prospect, he could be stuck at that awkward 192cm height and not develop? But for now I have liked what I have seen and will give him the benefit of the doubt

Benny Barrett has explosive pace and reminds me a lot of Kosi Pickett, seriously I think he is a clone of Kosi, moves like him, tough as he is, plays forw and mid like Kosi, it's uncanny imo, maybe lacks the goal scoring power Kosi had in his junior years so far?, Kosi also wasn't clean in his junior footy, it was a criticism I had, but he has seamlessly transitioned to the AFL

Phoenix Hargrave is a classy tall mid that can play anywhere, im a fan of how he has played so far, will he drop off? Who knows?

SA dominated the u16s for this draft class and I mean DOMINATED, im really surprised only Draper, Herbert and Luck have played u18s, maybe poor talent ID from state selectors because SA have stank so far at the champs, idk maybe I'm wrong?

SA regularly dominate Under 16 I find but then things seem to go wrong at Under 18 level. There's gotta be some major development issues going on program wise that never used to be as much of a concern.

For mine, Sid Draper is by far and away the best talent out of SA for next year. Genuine top 5 maybe top 3. Wouldn't have anyone else top 10 at this stage.

Tyler Welsh was the other one I expected to show a bit, not sure why he hasn’t played champs yet.

I'd have told him to go take a running jump...opinions be like ****holes, every one's got one.

Back issues that have seen him miss a big stretch of games on a very restricted training program until just recently would suggest he's lacking some miles in the legs at this point.

Surely Bamford could manage his minutes with SA clearly out of contention now?

Agree on the champs, would be nice to give him a game at some stage though he's well below his output from last year. Injury earlier iirc. He's in my 10-20 bracket atm.

*Edit just read Bicks post, there you go re back!

Are you still so sure about that SA talent? SA are so much better with all the underage talent that has came in

You were saying. Get a clue.

You were saying. Get a clue.
The athlete finds your response amusing. The athlete has made his position clear. Tyler Welsh will struggle to be a first round pick and Hargrave is 50/50 to be drafted at all. Barratt from South Adelaide won't be drafted. Perhaps when suggesting the Athlete get a clue you should provide your analysis of what chances these players have and where they will end up. Then both the Athlete and yourself can indeed see who has a clue when it all shakes out. The Athlete looks forward to your vastly different predictions to the Athletes considering you believe the Athlete's position to be clueless!

TheAthlete refers to himself in the third person seven times in one paragraph. The rest of us are laughing at TheAthlete

Hey guys.

Outside of Smillie, Moraes and Wilson, who are the other Ranges players worth looking out for for next year?
Josh Galstians is a small forw/mid, who kicked a few bags last year, has been injured i believe?, might be worth checking out his progress next year.

Also Oliver Greeves looks like a potential 1st rounder for 2025, KPF, im sure he'll play for Eastern next year, looked very good in u16 trials and I think I saw somewhere he is doing well for VM.....not 100% confirmed as I have not watched the u16s yet.
