Luke Trainor sounds like exactly what we need and I'm okay with that if he's the BPA on the board. Such a pity we didn't get exclusive access to Christian Moraes because we need his type as well.![]()

If you're playing as key forward this season for South Adelaide then you need to make the most of your chances, and that's what Noah Howes does. Big lad with a mature body for an 18 year old, Howes moves well and is a strong contested mark (ranked second in the SANFL). His kicking is solid with a fluid action and he even has a few tricks in his bag.

Because you're picking based on exposed form rather than projecting rate of improvement to the futureI was going to post this. I wonder why only midfielders from the MSD seem to be successful.

Yes Newc was a one off born of lockdowns and U18 interruptions. The same reason the 2020 draft a few months earlier saw plenty of misses. Can’t expect to land a star in MSD. If you land a role player that’s a big win.We hit pay dirt with Newc in the MSD but the percentages aren’t high , I remember Callow was being talked up every bit as much as the guys in the frame at the moment, and he was a good build and a good mark as it turned out but had the turning circle and the agility of a Russian Antonov on the tarmac. Most of these guys didn’t get picked up for a very good reason .
Pretty keen to see who we pick up based on this, what the selectors have front of mind as a missing role. Might give us an interesting insight into what they are thinking.Yes Newc was a one off born of lockdowns and U18 interruptions. Half back from SA?I’m pretty confident we’re taking Luke Beecken in the MSD
Half back /wingman from the Eagles. Have heard from more than one in the recruitment circles over here that they reckon he is our man. Apparently we have had scouts at his last few games. He is a good player. Beautiful kick and has pace. Keen to see him on sunday in state game. Mackenzies old club too so he would have good info.Half back from SA?

Unlikely, but any chance he's bloody quick with good agility??Started the year well but hardly any goals in the last 3-4 weeks. I like Noah Howes from SA from the little I have seen and read he had a lot of injuries but is a hulking figure already at 18 good hands good kick could really have upside. Could be a good partner for Dear as the stronger body allowing Dear to be the more athletic leaping type.

What do you mean pre-dick?Reminds me of a young Jon Patton (on-field Patton, pre-dick stuff).
He didn’t even get a go in the rep sides, very late developerJai was eligible for the 2019 draft, pre-Covid.

I can see it now...i like Will McLachlan from the Geelong Falcons 185cm, small forw with a strong mark and kicks bags, knows how to find space as well, looks an AFL Talent at CTL level imo, has kicked 20 goals in 5 games in the CTL this season and looked very good in Vic Country Trials kicking a few there too.
MSDI can see it now...
We get him & make him good, then they steal him for a Future 8th or some garbage.
Seriously though, those are impressive numbers. This a Draft option or for MSD?
