Take best available regardless of position.

Winning our next premierships will be easier with a dominant KPF.

We don’t have one yet, not a game breaking, goal scoring, All Australian star. KPFs like that win games that would be lost without them. Hawthorn has always had one in our dominant eras.

No need to delist anyone. All Im suggesting is moving up for Shanahan and with our pick at 35 pick another tall or Anderson. Whoever the club think would be best for us.
I was responding to your first notion, that only having two spaces meant we hadn't managed things very well.

We managed things to have two spaces, which is fine with one decent pick in the 30s, and two rubbish picks in the 70s, to possibly match a bid on Anderson if it comes

We’re going to get a talent at our pick, and with our development program they could be anything in 12 months time.

Don’t sweat it.
I desperately fighting the urge to write a response with some sort of reference to KID!

(Nope, can't do it...)

I would do F1+40's pick for our 35+F2

Direct F1 for 35 may be hard to sell, will need our F2 going back, maybe ask for F3 instead of 40's pick.
Then use the F3 for one of Lions huge set of unwanted picks if a player we like is on board.
No one is trading picks unless it’s Norf Norfin’ their offer. 35 (8 picks into round 2) for a contenders pick is plenty realistic. Lower half of the ladder more might be needed but I’m not sure the extra is a future second. Who knows anymore.

I still chuckle at the memory of Richmond's head honchos parading Deledio and Tambling at a BBQ and proclaiming they'd just picked the two best kids in the draft!
Terry Wallace admitted that if they had picked Buddy then he may have kept his job at the Tigers.

If Essendon trade Melbourne’s future first pick for pick 28 or beyond I’m going to punch a small cat. Surely not.

They have picks close by enough that they can look to pay for a slide instead of trying to get the pick outright though. I'd be shocked if they gave an F1 at this stage.

So, here we are once again start of round 2 and Richmond let the clock run down before making a selection.

Thanks Fox Footy, that'll do it for me tonight. I'll channel surf and check back in five hours when the Hawks are on the clock.

And bugger, they took Sims.

I know Fox try to pad this stuff out for the television experience, but it was obvious that would happen. Richmond had to let that run the full 5 minutes just in case another side came in with an offer they couldn't refuse.
