I really like the team (very similar structure to mine, with a few differences)
I’ve been tossing up between NWM and Stewart, currently settled with NWM as he seems to be trending very well and they love the ball in his hands.

I’m liking the 3 midfield rookie setup at the moment, gives a decent balance to the team, excluding the forwards line where value is definitely the theme for most teams. Similar to you I’m not structured with a heap of captain options to start with, so starting Bont seems like a logical decision.

I’m struggling with my F1 big time, really don’t know which way to go. Flanders showed enough for either argument to start/fade. Jackson seems like a trap and Heeney is Heeney. The rest of the forward line will be similar to most and for good reasoning.

First off, thanks for the praise.

I also struggled a bit with my F1. Its mainly been Dimma's praise of Flanders that has him as my current F1. That praise seems to suggest he will be a main contributor in their midfield but he is by no means a lock. Heeney is potentially value but who knows if he will continue with a significant amount of midfield time? Then there is Jackson, who seems like a decent option in the short term but i do really wonder about his ceiling. Might go at 100 for lets say 6-7 rounds but when Darcy comes back he could be back below 85. Seems more of a SC type selection to me.

I'm willing to entertain the idea of a genuine mid-pricer as F1 but i think there will be a good F1 available, whether it comes from the popular trio of Flanders/Heeney/Jackson remains to be seen. Nailing that F1 could potentially be a good leg up on part of the comp, but i definitely hear your struggles - no option seems that 'safe' and additionally then there are byes to think about!

I don't think you can go wrong with Flanders as F1 - Flanders will certainly be a strong chance to be one of the best forwards throughout the game even when the DPP's come in.

Jackson and Heeney are both right now situationally good due to the injuries on both the Dockers and Swans rosters. This is the case even more so for Heeney, will he be a top 6 forward once the Swans are full strength in the midfield? I don't know.

Campbell worked his way into the game well and JS seems decent. Carroll looked genuinely good and could be fieldable. I reckon those 2 will be must-have rookies if they hold their spot

ZW can barely run out a game. Second week in a row with 3 pt last qtr. Lucky he had that good 2nd qtr else this was a 50. I'll try to keep him but complete restructure required because he is currently D4 which is way too high for a spud of his calibre

I didn't realise how cheap he is. Think he's worth a punt. Have brought him in for Sharp, but it means bringing in Mannagh (likely sub), for Dempsey, who I think has reasonable job security at Geelong. Can't see any other way of doing it though.

Damn, I cant wait for this round to end. Ive spent too much time pondering taking on Daicos and Gawn, as well as flirting with Yeo. The rucks have been my biggest drama. Loved the idea of English and Xerri for ages, prefer English and Grundy, and for a few hours was rocking Grundy and Xerri. GL everyone. Hope the winner is amongst the group.

Think I'm going to go Bont to Rozee. Started AF without Daicos last year and it was death by 1000 sideways and backwards +6's.

I've been tossing up between Rozee and Libba. Have Rozee currently. Just a bit concerned if he spends time forward? He has a high ceiling for sure if in the midfield.

Or ditch that idea, move Daicos to mids, bring in Young from Fremantle and pocket some $$. Don't have Young currently, which goes against the grain a bit. Don't have any Fremantle players actually.
